Add Character Recustomization in TBC

I believe this would be a good QOL change for the playerbase because there are no downsides to adding this. It should be relatively simple for a multi million dollar company like blizzard to add this without taking away resources from other areas of development.

This would NOT be a faction/race change or name change (I believe we are getting name change anyway).

Two ways to implement.

  1. In game barber. This is probably simple to add to the game even though it didn’t come out until wrath. It acts as a minor in game gold sink.

  2. Cash shop. Not as good as in game barber but better than nothing.

This change would not break the game and it shouldn’t upset the no changes crowd. Let me know what you guys think and if im wrong, please leave a comment.

Well my first thought it “You don’t know the no changes crowd if you don’t think it’ll upset them”.

Other than that I wouldn’t mind a basic version of the barbershop, even if only to change things like hair style/color.

Please. My hunter has a terrible hair style.

Helmets help. Unless they are ugly.

Engineering goggles become a thing, and they’re pretty good. If they’re in Phase 1 they might be BiS but I need to peruse the alternatives for each slot to find out.

Thankfully none of the Tier Hunter helms show hair, but a lot of the other classes do. Lots of collar styles.

just play retail

Like why tho ? Leave the game be.

I’d honestly support the barber shop. It’s a quality of life improvement that has no impact on the game itself.

It’s a harmless addition that would be nice for players, especially those that like to change their looks in minor ways.

Everyone is using this sentence for their favorite feature and it may work for some retail features.

While i agree it won’t have an impact on the game like (boost/LFG/LFR) and may even add a new gold sink it’s still a “new feature”.

Should we get all of them in TBC Classic ? No, i don’t think it’ll be the same experience.

The game experience will already be altered by the players like it was in Classic there is no need to alter it more.

I would pay big money for the dwarf high-and-tight haircut in TBC.

If it was just hair, hair color, or piercings, I’d be indifferent. Your gender, face, tusks, horns, other physical features, no. It goes against choosing and playing your role in a simulated world. Same reason why transmog or cross-realm phasing is a huge no in classic. No sense of permanence or choice in these ways feels bad in an MMO. It ruins the game’s authenticity.

i’d love a barbershop option. as mogoc said hair/fur color/style, would be nice. and piercings, you can barely see them in char creator and realize 10 levels later that you have an earring emerging from your eyebrow is not fun.

…what in tarnation

So if I’m a Troll… My tusk size profoundly determined my role in this world? Also the tusks never grow, or change? I feel so immersed.

yeah, how about while i’m at it, i sit down in the barber’s chair and get a face transplant and my skin bleached whiter, that feels good an authentic…

Well I mean if we’re going for authenticity here, there’s a lot more pressing issues to be addressed.

Like creatures like Gryphons and Wyverns not only being able to fly at all, but also being able to carry a passenger.

Hunters laying down, and their enemies rubberbanding back to whatever they were doing before said hunter made them angry.

…most other things in WoW.

You mean in a world where I can conjure up fire balls and ice missiles right out of my bare hands and shoot people with them?

or a world where you can teleport across great distances, be summoned from across the globe, fashion magical armors and dye them various colors, build flying / riding machines but you cant figure out how to color your hair or cut it/style or remove an earring from your nostril

lore knows, i need this for my priest. selected the wrong face and didnt realize it till i had already leveled her up quite a bit.

how it happened was, i didnt see the face i normally give my nelfs, so i thought it must not be in classic, but later, i made another nelf character and found the face. too late for my priest

Add this, add that, make this easier, I don’t have time, waaah waaah waaah. You already have the game you seek, it’s called retail. Stop trying to ruin ours even more.
