Add a new race to each faction that adds real diversity

Avian Race.

Reptile Race.

Boom.

I don’t really care which side gets which, I just think they’d be neat.

It’s hard for us to get diversity as alliance when a vocal minority won’t stop talking about elves for the alliance :unamused:

Even though Alliance already has a lot of “Human-looking” races, the most they could do is either add Vrykul or Sethrak. Vrykul would only make sense if Blizzard gave Horde Ogres in order to give a sense of “Powerhouse” races. And there’s more than enough reason why they should be added and can make it possible. Vrykul are the human’s descendants after all. Meanwhile Ogres, Horde has the backing of Stonemaul but that’s not the issue, just reason to even out choices. And if the issue is, “They’re too big to go through things that playable Taurens go through.” THEN FIX IT!

Sethrak on the otherhand, is among the more unique races, a entirely different race, nothing like Void Elves, not like Kul’tirans, or the trashy and misleading Mechagnomes (seriously, I though we were getting titanforged versions when first announced). The reason mainly why Vulpera got so popular in the first place is because they are unique, its a actual race of its own, not a subspecies.

Blizzard shouldn’t be lazy when it comes to adding races, they need to be very obvious some shouldn’t just be chosen because half of the work is already done via animations and models. They need to legitimately make the effort to allow the potential of races that people were clamoring for.

Even if it isn’t Ogres, Sethrak, or even Vrykuls. I just don’t want another that we basically have already with a few “Signature” appearance customizations that makes them different from the original cast of races. If anything, some of the races shouldn’t exist as standalone.

They aren’t actually as popular as people make them out to be. Its just that they have a large lobbying group that has been actively trying to prop them up. Last time the census was up, it had them listed as second most popular allied race behind void elves. Which isn’t bad, but there was people saying this race would beat blood elves in popularity.

Ah well, still, it would make them more unique than just being “Another elf” or anything that we already have with a fresh coat of…well, flesh and blood, and rusted metal on some occasions.

I think it was a mistake because prior to that one no other allied races were as unique as this. Even in the case of mechagnomes. Maybe they should have been a core race instead or something, but at least they didn’t make the same mistake with sethrak.

I just realized that I haven’t posted on what races I’d want added.
So I’ll take the easy ones and go with:
Horde: Sethrak

Alliance:Arakkoa

Gnomes only have four digits on their limbs. That’s pretty different from humans.

playable old gods imo

Alliance: Furbolgs
Horde: idk

Give us a robot, use the ones in bastion for inspiration. Pretty sure the mechagnomes would be capable of creating an AI.

Alliance get Saberon, then they can have a savage race.

Horde get Mok’nathal, since I believe Rexxar uses a modified male Kul’tiran rig, so use the female Kul’tiran rig for the female Mok’nathal, and give that rig a second life. This would also give Horde the ultimate trifecta of big strong ladies, Orc, Tauren and Mok’nathal.

Sethrak or Etheral

To many races now as it is and honestly having about half of them locked behind achievements can discourage new players who may want to play the new race but not bother with the others to get to it. So that would be a customers lost there…hic!

Argus in legion set us up for a perfect chance to get Broken Draenei. I’d still add them if I could, it actually made no sense not to vs void elves.

I would like sentient oozes as a playable race. When they don armor or weapons, the model just appears floating in their gelatinous forms.

If the Alliance got the Botani, they could help NE regrow Teldrassil and also expand the current Overlook (the ledge that the end of Everbloom takes place on) into their quarters.

If you give the Horde Saberon, it is a great foil to Worgen on the alliance. They’d need a nice sunny spot or maybe you could let them live in Thunder Bluff with all the, um, milk.

With Void Elves, Blizz tried to appease the High Elf community and failed to realize just giving them the Blood Elf model with a different theme wasn’t what they wanted. They wanted full fledged High Elves. I would rather have seen the Argus Broken over Light-forged Draenei.

Btw, awesome to see another Night Elf who embraces the Darkshore warfront set.

I think the high elf issue is a hard liner for blizzard. They will never do it. The void elves just feel lacking, I’ve tried creating one, but if I am going to play an elf on the alliance it’s going to be the best elves… Night elves :grinning:

Looking forward to the NE heritage armor if they ever get around to it :face_with_raised_eyebrow: so the Darkshore armor works for now.
