Walk like crab, talk like people.
Well, to me that sum alliance and the reason I’m horde…
But… One thing is true… wow is becomming the World of Elfs
And needs diversity.
Since we really talked about this…
It’s really a very good thing think outside the box…
Instead of thinking about races that are something like good/bad oriented for faction would be real good think about race against race (and that’s like the true origin for the factions)
Sethrak for ally would be a whole big good move
More unique races for the Alliance might be cool, but I’d lean more in the direction of “alien” or “energy being” or something like that instead of critter-humanoids… let the Horde be the faction for those races.
sethrak would be a good one we really need a reptilian race. A lot of other fantasy games have them. Ankoan would be cool as well. Imo a lot of the wow playable races are either boring or ugly so those two would be a good start for having unique and cool races.
I like this idea
Best choices. Another good Ally option would be etherals (maybe the new broker people for Horde?)
Ogre for Alliance and Vrykul for Horde…
vrykul are just humans though and orgre would go to the horde
Thats the thing though… It would be more diverse. Go against the norm… Ogres tired of being kicked around by the Horde and Vrykul not believing in the Alliance way of life.
Nerubians for alliance.
Mantid for horde.
Sethrak would have been about the most diverse Alliance choice. Broken would be cool too, but not quite as unique as sethrak (broken have the draenei connection still).
Still want my snakes, Blizzard. Love me the Sethrak.
Please and thank you.

This is why I’m saying we need plant-based races. One for each faction, and then never again with an exception for Allied Races.
You know, I think when it comes to unique or diverse, a lot what makes the Horde seem diverse is really just the standard color pallet of it’s races.
When you get down to it, one can say the Alliance has Humans, Short Humans, Shorter Humans, and Fat Humans on it, along with pointy-eared humans, but the same is almost as true for the Horde. You’ve got Orcs, Lanky Orcs(Trolls), Short Orcs (Goblins), Chad Orcs (Zandalari), etc…
The thing is when you think of an Orc you’re thinking green, or a troll is blue. But then Tauren seem most common in brown fur, Forsaken are gray from decay, Blood Elves are more flesh colored, Nightborne are purple, etc…
Over on the Alliance you have Humans, Dwarves, and Gnomes all being flesh colored. Then you have Draenei, Night Elves, and Void Elves in blues, purples, and grays, and then Lightforged Draenei and Dark Irons also fall into that area of grey.
The Horde’s races just have a whole lot more color to them than the Alliance. So the Alliance could stand to have some races in Green, some in Orange or Red, etc…
Saberon can provide this with the tiger/lion/cheetah fur colors/patterns. Arguably one could go Dragonsworn and have Red/Green/Bronze draconic customizations that’d also help add more color diversity to the racial palette of the Alliance.
Look at all the people with Art degrees up in here. lol
If that was aimed at me, I make no such claims. I did take psychology though. How color affects an individual’s perception is a pretty fascinating thing. The Horde is a rainbow of color while the Alliance’s three primary colors are Blue, Gray, and Flesh. No wonder people think the Alliance is boring.
Horde - Centaurs
Alliance - Gnolls
I figured they’d join the factions based on proximity. If there’s too much bad blood, then the other way around for both.
You’re forgetting Worgen with a variety of fur colors and patterns.
Yes, fur colors such as White, Black, varying shades of Gray… there’s a brown color or two in there too.
So, yeah… most of that fits under the spectrum of Gray.
So night elves don’t exist.
Nor do Void elves that embrace their voidiness… but then again, you are contributing to that perception of how boring the Alliance is by sticking to its supposed “primary colors”.
