Add a fly path to Silithus please i hate flying to the desert area then getting slow down by the flying snake or killed and some of my toon dont have fast flying i have a total of 22 level 120s that can use the fly path ty
Cataclysm portals bring you straight to uldum.
yeah but a fly path is faster becuase there is a portal in silithus
So you’re saying that a 2 minute travel time is faster than a 0 second travel time.
Where are you going from where??? There are direct portals to both Silithus and Uldum.
I’d like to fly from uldum to silithus. Loading screen since the patch take way to long.
And if that’s somehow not obvious enough, there’s a caverns of time portal. However at least for Horde if you can manage to find the CoT but not the Uldum portal, or even the one in your BFA capital that has a portal DIRECTLY TO SILITHUS IN THE PORTAL ROOM then you have something wrong with you.
I swear, it’s almost like people who complain about the most random things don’t actually play the game or know a damn thing about it.
That’s a computer issue, not a game issue.
To the rest who don’t seem to understand how portals work: if you’re in Boralus/Dazar’alor, you go to Stormwind/Org and then to Uldum. Done.
If you’re in Silithus for some reason, port back to Boralus/Dazar’alor, go to Stormwind/Org and then to Uldum. Done.
Just for curiosity sake and my sick sense of sadism and blatantly low confidence in most of the modern playerbase. I’d love to see how many of them could find out how to get to Silithus in Classic when they have to actually find a ramp in the corner of Un’goro that isn’t very visibly a ramp until you’re running up it instead of just having a portal there or fly over the map on autorun at sky limit avoiding all terrain.
LOL!!! I remember the first time I found that ramp and wanted to see where it went. It was so cool seeing the zone for the first time!
It’s a game issue for those of us who experience it, regardless of what the cause is. And the fact is that taking the portal to SW, then leaving the mage tower, flying to the Uldum portal, and taking that can actually take more time than just mounting up and flying across a short distance of Silithus to Uldum.
Reminds me of a guy yesterday who was ranting and raving about dying in warmode, but adamantly refused to turn it off otherwise he would be “weeks behind” in reputation… when in actuality the warmode bonus doesn’t affect rep at all.
And there it is.
No, it’s an issue that affects your gameplay. Not a game issue. A game issue is something on their end regarding either their server or their spaghetti coding that is directly causing it. I.E epic bgs when you put 40 v 40 all spamming aoes together and the game actually takes upwards of eight seconds to register your action.
A computer issue is usually hardware related and if you have loading screen issues your biggest asset will be a solid state drive. After that it’s a processor that isn’t taken out of a Dell computer 20 years old then video card that isn’t equivalent in power to that found in the PS2.
At times these do bleed together where certain video cards aren’t optimized and experience less performance. I.E for the longest time WoW would only utilize a single core of a processor which was how you could see people with top of the line video cards and processors still experiencing terrible performance which they changed fairly recently in like the last couple of years.
However still, a long loading screen is usually hardware related and seldom related to the actual game itself. Or even settings in some regards. I remember in Legion people talking about using 64 channel sound would cause massive FPS drops on older component driven computers. Ironically the big culprit was DBM would force 64 on your sound and when people started removing the line responsible for doing this he put in a note on the lua file of “If you need to remove this, quit raiding on a potato.” Why this is ironic was because at the beginning of BFA he said he was going to no longer develop DBM because his computer couldn’t handle BFA. So a guy raiding on a potato, was chastising others for raiding on a potato.
laughing in magni
Whatever, it’s hair splitting. What I am saying is that REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE, for many people it is faster to fly there than take multiple portals.
How about you just see what I am trying to say. The end result is what matters here, not the cause.
Actually, that’s not how it works. Game loading is on your end, not theirs. If your hard drive or processor or memory can’t handle it, then it’s going to be slow. But it’ll most likely be a result of your hard drive. Solid state drives will save your gaming life. They’re amazing and solve this issue. I hope everyone can pick one of these up some day!
Exactly!
Then fly there. I flew from Uldum to Silithus without running into one single worm. Just have to pay attention.
That’s not accurate since it doesn’t reflect the time it takes to go from the stormwind portal area (which is where the Boralas->SW portal dumps you) to the catalyst portals and the time spent waiting for the additional SW zone loading screen.
Going through stormwind might still be faster than going to Silithus but not by much.
For me, it takes 2 minutes 53 seconds to fly from Magni’s camp in Silithus to Halls of Origination (cloak intro quest) and 1 minute 41 seconds to Portal Jockey it… Daz > Org > Uldum > fly to HoO.
Loading times will very of course though and the obvious solution is MOTHER just makes us some ports to the two 8.3 daily hubs… Ramkahen and Silent Sanctuary… at the entrance of the Chamber.
Speaking of which… it helps if you’d comprehend what this thread was about in order to comprehend why comments are being said.
