Add a 60 second roll timer for loot

Boss gets killed, you have 60 seconds to roll need, greed, or pass is my suggestion.

Everyone knows when the boss dies, that is the time to roll, not some other future time. Even if you’re in a guild that really needs a long time to analyze the boss drops, you can still trade.

60 seconds is my suggestion. Prob would have it be 30 seconds tbh but I am a reasonable fellow

It isn’t required. You can roll on it and move on and eventually get it or you dont win it. Same with LFR - roll and accept que into next wing. It will be mailed to you if won.

why don’t gambling addicts just buy tickets for things months in advance. Hold their fix longer.

oh wait that was personal loot

Hardly any difference between GL and PL other than the illusion you are “losing” to another player now… but it’s really the computer, just like it was with PL. You could still raid all night and get nothing with PL. The difference is the type of loot that is generated and the trade rules.

In any case, 60 second timer to roll, no person needs any more

that would save a lot of time

… what problem is this even trying to solve?

You got it, I will wait an extra 60 seconds to roll.

I normally do it once they pop up but hey, if you need the time to gather yourself.

It’s probably to give people enough time to sim the item to see if it’s actually an upgrade before needing on it and potentially stealing it from someone who needs its

The problem of people taking longer than 60 seconds to roll

I thought it was pretty self-explanatory tbh

Why is that a problem it don’t change who gets the gear.

Let me guess you found and opened all your presents hidden in your parents room long before Christmas.

Just my suggestion cowgirl. I think it would be better than a system without a 60 second timer.

Dear OP,
If such a timer was put on the loot then everyone would just hit need on everything.

You seem to think this idea of yours is an obvious healthy change to the roll process. To the point you won’t even talk about why.

Why?

I’d imagine it’s also to account for people watching cutscenes.

The keyword here is “problem”; what “problem” is this supposed to solve
You have provided a suggestion … but not a problem

Because “Folks taking more than 60 seconds to roll on items” is not a problem, within’ reason of course, but the upper limit of the Group Loot timer is perfectly fine and lowering it provides no actual real benefit to anyone

What is this “you won’t even talk about why” lolol. It’s my suggestion. Didn’t think it would require a breakdown, but

Basically, it’s

  1. I prefer groups that roll within 60 seconds
  2. I dislike when people take longer than 60 seconds to roll
  3. Thus, a 60 second timer would be preferable to me

Waiting is better than not waiting, imho. It’s especially bad for LFR, when you want to leave. Some others have thought this too

They alredy do

dont know about op, but its kind of just annoying having to wait 10 minutes to find out if you won gear or not.

This … is a problem? Does waiting 3 minutes instead of 1 minute really affect you that much?

Like really actually?

Everyone just stands around the boss corpse while some dead players, who got up to get a snack, haven’t returned yet to roll on the loot. It’s disgraceful how long the roll timer is. If they’re AFK for that long, they don’t deserve to roll on the loot.
