Activision GM the new President of Blizzard

they said the runs HE sold through blizzard’s rmt service.

it’s not really an rmt service at all since blizzard isn’t providing the carries, but i thought I’d meet the post on its own level

They are literally selling the gold funding the carry lol.

She didn’t run CoD she was in charge of the esports division

uh ok, so he’s not involved at all. i think we agree

No one said anything about him being involved, only promoting it.

Like I said, you seem to have issues in the reading department lol.

Well Call of Duty is a very popular ap. It was at the core of the attempt by both the US government and European governments in their attempt to block Microsoft from purchasing Activision. The feeling was that Call of Duty was so popular it would create a monopoly despite Sony Playstation having a larger share of the game box market than X Box.

As for the NFL, that’s one of the best sports leagues in the world. As they said in the movie, “They own a day of the week”. They pull massive ratings and look at how easily they brushed off that silly boycott over “taking a knee”.

In fact now that I think about it, what I would rather see is Bill Belichick as President. Of course we would all be up at 6AM running wind sprints up and down a hill but hey, maybe that would be good for us.

The bones of the game are there and fun but holy moly is the grind boring. This season did not help, either. It’s the same dungeons 10000 times or the new seasonal dungeons 1000 times and the fascination with traps and punishment are bizarre.

Idk who or what they’re designing for.

So…

Carry runs are the norm for any guild trying to push content. Heroic and keystones will be on farm there is no reason for them not to make extra gold. The only problem I have with Mike Ybarra is the whole “Wow token prevents rmt” fiasco. That ignores the elephant in the room that the wow token is created because they are too lazy to moderate the game. That’s where the issue is.

sorry i thought it was clear i was referring to the dozens of other threads we’ve had here where people have suggested exactly that. i will be more specific from now on!

Considering I literally mentioned the person you responded to.

Holy hell, no one on these boards can read lol.

WoW’s cash shop is about to explode.

okay, i’m not going to participate in one of the 800-post meta-arguments these forums love. all i was trying to say is that, regardless of whether the specific person i was replying to was saying exactly that, it IS a common theme around here. it IS a thing lots of people on these forums have said. i’m responding to that.

you not agreeing with me or us disagreeing on the exact context of my reply isn’t me not knowing how to read.

In my opinion the only thrilling content this season is at Mythic. Heroic Amirdrassil is so easy that you could do it with half the raid blindfolded. The kicker is most the playerbase won’t make it through the instance gate for that content however

No, it most definitely is. If you are talking about something completely unrelated to what was mentioned, it is most certainly a reading comprehension issue. I couldn’t care any less about other posts not related to what was said in this thread alone lol.

Be ready for even more micro transaction’s folks might even see them in classic era and season of discovery.

it’s not completely unrelated, it’s just not the context you happen to prefer. if you could read, you’d understand the distinction

Its completely unrelated because it had nothing to do with the comment you responded to lol.

This is literally what WoW has been for years now. Not thrilled about looking forward to more of that, but I don’t see this as anything different than we were already getting, realistically.

He played the game and the way he played the game made him actively a bad choice for someone in charge of the company making said game. I have no doubt that he played a significant role in the normalization of paid carries and the Trade Services Channel. While I’m not optimistic for Johanna or whoever the replacement is, I am glad Ybarra is out.

Don’t see why people think it’s a bad thing. She managed to get a lot of ressources for CoD, Cod still manage to meet expectations years after years. “Oh but she doesn’t play wow!” I mean Ybarra advertising boosting services from his guild wasn’t exactly what I would call a good thing.
