Activision Blizzard sued by California. This is bad

Not really true. Attractive men can be rapists, creeps etc too.

Disgusting beyond belief. If my daughter were harassed to the point of suicide, it wouldn’t be a good story for the people who did it.

J Allen Brack needs to go.

Reading the text of the complaint, it’s mostly Blizzard. A couple mentions of Activision Publishing, but it’s almost all Blizzard.

You could read the article about a 2 year investigation and then consider that it’s the state that’s suing. But yeah…try to be edgy. It’s a good look.

Already submitted an ticket to have the 6mo sub I just purchase yesterday to be cancel and refuned.

Game: Account, App, & Shop

Topic: Not listed here

Description: I want to cancel the 6mo sub I just purchase due to the FART BOY incident. Is unacceptable blizzard is doing nothing about it and even claims is not their fault. Such a digusting act by blizzard. Don’t play the victim. What blizzard should have done is admitted their wrong doing fire anyone with the sexual hrassment and issue a statement and accept judgment. I am done with this company where it looks down upon female and treats them as an object.

Estimated response time: 24 hours

That’s the accusation.
An accusation cannot be used as proof of itself

Asmongold just said on his stream that he thinks JAB will step down.

It’s also great to see that paralegals are earning their $30 an hour…

“Crosby suite [named after] Bill Crosby.”

Excellent.

Yeah. They ALL gotta go, including J. Allen Brack.

He might, but I hope he doesn’t, at least not until he has cleaned up the mess he allowed to spread. This is his dirty laundry, granted it was a pile he inherited from Mike Morhaime, but he didn’t clean it when he had the chance, he should absolutely do so now instead of passing off the pile to the next person that takes over as President.

Quoted from page 16: An employee complained to Blizzard Entertainment President J. Allen Brack in early 2019 that employees were leaving due to sexual harrassement and sexism. Specifically, this employee noted that women on Battle. net team were subjected to disparaging comments, the environment was akin to working in a frat house, and women who were not “huge gamers” or “core gamers” (notice they didn’t say they didn’t game at all) and not into the party scene were excluded and treated like outsiders."

The next part is about groping and other sexual harrassement.

I submitted the part above has one of the few places people high in the chain of command at Blizzard HQ are actually named and told of what was going on and “did not take reasonable action.”. HR was told, but did not keep info confidential - instead there was retaliation in the form of involuntary transfers, selection for lay-offs, and denial of projects and opportunities - something to that effect.

I’m sure there is a paper trail to support this claim or it wouldn’t be there.

Wonder what ‘treated like outsiders’ means here.

No, it’s not. States do not generally sue one of the largest companies in their state on fabricated charges.

Blizzard’s TLDR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15HTd4Um1m4&ab_channel=AmooxYT

Even if it’s all false they deserve the lawsuit for staying headquartered in California lmao.

Thought the same thing. Closest I could imagine is the similar behaviors of humans and clique’s. That one might be hard to prove. I’d be interested in seeing “how” cliques get proved because we can’t. I just know on discord there is a subgroup that definitely doesn’t like me, no prob, but the minute I log in they either stop talking, or ignore what I say, or get off. -Clique.

We all know when it happens from our childhood on. proving it is another matter.

Yeah this is pretty bad. I mean the drinking and being stupid is whatever but the behavior towards female employees is not acceptable. I mean this type of lawsuit I haven’t see before against a company as a whole.

But people also consider that just jumping ship hurts the people who do work there that weren’t part of the problem. Management seems to suck no matter what company you go to and I’m sure now that the board will see this most of them will be gone.

I’m personally hoping that Devin Stone/LegalEagle will do a bit on it.

great post.

I just have to say, it can become comical when dealing with lawyers. Some of the stuff they say is just hilarious.

For example, 2 lawyers had a meeting. Lawyer 1 left his umbrella at lawyer 2s office. Lawyer 2 requested info and said they would hold the umbrella hostage until he got it.

I laughed pretty hard at this. Idk how it’s like in the big world but this stuff happens quite a bit in mine. Lawyers seem to really like to push buttons. At least the ones I deal with anyway.

Sorry for they rando post but I thought you might find this humorous.

For reference I’m an accountant that deal with family businesses. Heirs like to fight a lot lol
