It’s a good thing that this particular case is based on a two-year investigation by a state entity and not anonymous Twitter postings.
The original article that was discussed sure made it seem that way. After reading the suit in its entirety there seems to be at least a couple that are filing on behalf of everyone making it a class action.
What is alleged in the filing has no evidence to support it in the filing itself (not uncommon as thats not the place for it.)
My purpose was to get people to calm down and not go acting on emotion as we don’t know what is or is not true. We should wait to see what evidence is provided and then come to a reasonable conclusion. My post was going through quoting the article part by part providing alternative reasons that would not seem so sinister to most people.
I do tend to forget though that most people seem to act far more on emotions then rationality and there is precious little skepticism.
your meds. Take them. I’m aware what the word i said meant, you didn’t have to read it back to me. are you some kind of schizo or something?
That’s the WHOLE thing. See they want to be victims and point the finger but then when you give them an ACTUAL real life example the first thing that comes out of these certified social justice warriors is “didn’t happen” “lies” and all you can do is laugh at the hypocrisy.
And when they hear things that aren’t part of the narrative of reality, they assume all kinds of things and fly off the rails, some of these clowns are actually unhinged in their stupidity, life is going to be very rough for them because no one will be around them once word is out how EVERYTHING hurts their feels and nothing is acceptable.
Gotcha. I don’t live in a large corporate culture so I don’t see many different types of interactions.
For example, I have no idea what could be said to you that would make you afraid while being inside a corporate atmosphere. Heck, I’m not sure what people are saying to each other period to make a woman afraid of them.
Don’t get me wrong, my imagination can come up with stuff. It just blows my mind any of it could be said aloud.
I also have no idea what it’s like being a female in the world. It’s nutty to me anyone would be treated differently. I’m not completely oblivious to the fact people are treated differently, it’s just strange.
Anyway, I appreciate your reply. I hope one day you never have to worry about this kind of crap.
This is an intelligent comment.
There’s 2 sides to every story and then the truth is usually somewhere in between.
“We’re a video game company. All video game companies are like this. They can’t do this to us and not to the whole industry!”
I stopped giving this garbage company my money once they destroyed the game with Cataclysm. Only classic and TBC brought me back, retail is utter garbage made by trash human beings.
So about that evidence
Quoting Momjeans:
’ I just want to mention to the people who keep saying “where is the evidence” and that the evidence in the court filings are just “accusations”. I know you didn’t actually read them then, because the 2 main charges are:
Unequal pay/unequal promotions/etc
Which can easily be proven by financial records that the 2 year investigation had access to.
and
Retaliation
Which can also easily be proven by looking at the employees who filed sexual harassment complaints with HR, and then seeing that many of those employees were then laid off
These are definitely going to be the 2 main bodies of evidence that sink this case for Blizzard. I also think the fact that leadership changed hands from Morhaime to Brack and this culture was still pervasive and nothing was done to stop it is going to be very damning.
And again, all of this is listed in the court filing. Read it if you want your “evidence”.’
This!!!
Prime example of someone who has nothing to say but call people names and use made up words from urban dictionary to try to say something stupid.
I mean i didn’t “read it back” to you, i posted it for anyone else who might not know what your silly little word meant to save them the hassle of looking it up.
You found out my big secret, i’m schizo and on copium, where have you been all my life? The clown mobile rolls on and on and on, thanks for more laughs.
Dante stop answering lol
The state conducted a two-year investigation. The state is the one filing the suit, not individual wronged employees, for violations of labor laws. The state would not be wasting its time bringing the case to court without ironclad evidence from the company’s HR records.
Individual accusations by people didn’t push this case forward. Violations of the laws of the State of California did.
There are ten causes of action listed, not two. You clearly didn’t read the filing.
You also have no clue how the system actually works. Just because John, who has worked in his position for four years and has six years total time in service gets promoted before Jane, who holds identical credentials, education, experience, and aggregate employment data (e.g., equal fitness reports, equal number of reprimands, equal duties, etc.) does NOT automatically mean Jane was discriminated against. She is not owed nor deserving of that promotion over John because there is nothing separating them professionally.
If Jane was objectively more experienced, better educated, and held more tenure and responsibility but was also paid less and John was promoted over here, then yes, you probably have a solid case that she was screwed over.
But simply looking at financial records that include compensation data without any other context means that you have an agenda – and that agenda is to punish Blizzard, rather than seeing that justice is done, even if it means Blizzard is found mostly not at fault.
Friendly reminder, good old Bobby himself lost a sexual harassment law suit 10 years ago.

He also was mentioned in Epstein’s black book.

None of this shocks me in the slightest.
Ok, Guess I will bite.
Definition of ad hominem
Appealing to feelings or prejudices rather than intellect an ad hominem argument.
Marked by or being an attack on an opponent’s character rather than by an answer to the contentions made. “Made an ad hominem personal attack on his rival”.
Ad hominem arguments steaming from a fictional story where you were the “victim” and “married” also, no your Jana pillow does not count.
LOL Ok just stop.
While yes Wisconsin does not have a state law, employers still have to abide by Federal Law in this regard.
The FLSA covers this exact issue that you appear to either be completely ignorant of (good luck in court… ignorance of the law is not a excuse) or willfully ignorant of (Once again… good luck in court).
All those little things you mentioned… you should be aware of as a employer of the number of people you claim work there.
Your statements so far make me highly doubt how honest you are being.
You arent actually saying anything. Your saying they can GET that evidence SHOULD IT EXIST. Not that it is there in the document.
That’s why I said
As in the ones that have rock solid evidence.
As for the rest of your post, this is not a one time occurrence, that’s the entire point. And they have financial records to back up how often female employees get pay raises, promotions, etc compared to male employees.
It is there, in the court filing.
