Maybe we should hold off until there is actual hearings/time in court before we call for cancellation of people.

Did I say you specifically? No

… really? -_-

they spent two years investigating - a whole lot more than ‘some women said x’.

A two-year investigation by the state agency found that the company discriminated against female employees in terms and conditions of employment, including compensation, assignment, promotion, and termination. Company leadership consistently failed to take steps to prevent discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, the agency said.

Open tweet, read article before you respond.

Video game giant Activision Blizzard Inc., maker of games including World of Warcraft and Diablo, fosters a “frat boy” culture in which female employees are subjected to constant sexual harassment, unequal pay, and retaliation, according to a lawsuit filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

5 people liked his comment - does that mean 5 people in addition to him didn’t read or 5 people in addition to him actually don’t care if it is the truth.

If I am cynical enough to automatically assume that the timing of the case and allegations is more than suspicious, what then separates that opinion, other than the heresay before evidence is introduced?

Just admit you didn’t even check the article and take the L. When you conflated a 2 year investigation into a suicide to a person tweeting from their toilet, we all knew.

Yeah and that means what?
Are we taking into account value as an employee or just their gender? Because not firing someone bad at their job due to their gender is pretty messed up. Not blizzards fault if they sucked.

As I said, I need more info than a few words on an article

Yeah I feel like the state wouldn’t get involved unless they had confidence…

It’s a more than unfortunate situation.

It is very difficult to provide solid proof for things that almost always take place in conversations; companies are far too careful nowadays to put anything of that sort on record. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

California would sue itself and win.

Yeah a lot of people are ignoring that this isn’t a lawsuit filed by a single woman, or a group of women, but the state of California, and it’s the result of a 2 year investigation.

Which is saying something about them really, especially with some of the lines I’ve seen thrown around here. Utterly appalling.

Of course it doesn’t.
But considering anyone can say that about anything in this world, we need something to go off other than it being a thing that could have happened

And don’t forget the silence from the crowd when Riot announced their MMO plans… while also facing a 500 million dollar lawsuit for the same things Blizzard is accused of.

this means you aren’t capable of comprehending anything and/or are condoning the behavior

Correct!
The California AG wouldn’t risk going after one of the larger companies in socal if they weren’t sure they’d win.

I can’t say I’m surprised. Though, I feel awful for that woman who took her life. I hope she’s happy up there.
