Activision Blizzard sued by California. This is bad

You think it doesn’t, LOL.

I believe them. After all there is an investigation of 2 years, a state sueing, a reason to why Aalex Afrasiabi leaved, and a person that commited suicide. That is enough. I’m not touching this game until they fire all the people involved. Not saying that you should, but that’s what I’m going to do, this is disgusting.

Not necessarily true, their reasoning was that the case would cost them too much money. And if the state is still pursuing even after giving Blizzard a chance to settle, it means they think they have a good chance of winning.

Page 1 of Google easily debunks whatever claim this is.

But, even if it were true, you have to be wearing a very special kind of tinfoil to believe that California would fraudulently file a lawsuit against a corporation just to keep the state afloat.

According to the complaint, filed Tuesday in the Los Angeles Superior Court, female employees make up around 20% of the Activision workforce, and are subjected to a “pervasive frat boy workplace culture,” including “cube crawls,” in which male employees “drink copious amounts of alcohol as they crawl their way through various cubicles in the office and often engage in inappropriate behavior toward female employees.”

Wow… if this is true I must say I feel our subscription fees are not being put to good use. I wonder which department this was, and what sort of work they do for the game.

lol. Yeah, it AINT going away just because they 404 it here.
All that will do is create more curiosity and make some think they ARE trying to hide something.

I think the people making a joke out of this are probably the same type who would engage in this behavior at work. They certainly do in game often enough.

Dude your sick and defending sexual harrasers over a corporation right now come on. If the state of California is suing 75% means its likely they wouldn’t do this without confidence they were going to win.

Keep reading, that is just the tip of the ice berg.

Alone by itself it’s not a good look, but what the investigation found goes all the way to the top of Blizzard.

And if you aren’t familiar with politics you may not understand that sometimes false claims are made for personal gain. The articles twice notes that female employees: allege or noted things. Which means this investigation could very well be just interviews with employees.

State governments are not some sort of infallible office. They are run by people and they do sometimes misrepresent things.

13 states are suing Biden administration. Missouri sued China for COVID handling. Texas sued Obama administration 48 times.

The California department that did this investigation would get a whole lot of firings if they lost, because it would make the AG look incompetent for losing. Keep in mind that department had to present this evidence to the AG and it had to be compelling enough for the AG to sign off on pressing charges.

Disgusting. Blizzard should be ashamed and I hope they lose the lawsuits.

ALL AGs should be elected. When you have that much power it should never, ever be by appointment.
