Gamepass has two tiers, base and ultimate edition, one is 10$ and the other is 15$ which I believe includes day one access to AAA games, cloud gaming, some gaming perks.
I need to look up how ESO sets it up, since their base game is expansion/sub based, but they’re on gamepass. I think the sub/expansions are included with your sub.
ESO isn’t on PC gamepass and for Xbox, if you do the optional sub, you have to pay for both.
FF14 is coming to Xbox as well and sure enough, you have to pay for gamepass and the sub while over in Playstation land, you only have to pay for the sub.

I mean it is worth a download. I think it has a surprisingly good story considering who made it. I just cant see anyone wanting to grind it out like d2 or d3.

Them banking on people, buying things from the store in a game that doesn’t truly have pay to win…? Just eating that sub loss? I just don’t see how this would be a wise or profitable move. I could see them giving you the game for free and still requiring a subscription for sure

I use a bluetooth wireless keyboard and hooked it up to my PS5 and it works in Final Fantasy (if I remember right)

In all honesty, the interesting part isn’t the number of players or whatever mess the overall community would become … but rather, how the hell would Microsoft even legally be able to do it?
WoW has regional locks, the PC Gamepass doesn’t, at least as far as I am aware, having used it in the past. How would Microsoft be even able to legally be able to pull off that insane stunt.
As long as I don’t have to play with anyone who’s using an Xbox controller, I don’t really care.
Microsoft is doing with Blizzard what Netflix does with all its products, the product itself does not matter, it matters that the number of subscribers increases, that in the long run is much more money for Microsoft via Gamepass
They could make it so that the latest xpac is NOT included, to steer people towards buying the xpac.
Make game pass a sub cost subsidization method to gather newer audiences.
Also you’re forgetting things like shop mounts and people pay to avoid playing for boosts for fomo garbage make bank.
