Activision blizzard games coming to gamepass

Bare with me, I don’t know off hand the prices.

They either have to make everyone buy Gamepass (at the Gamepass rate) or keep the subscriptions separate. If Gamepass is over $15/month they make a profit and we’d pay more.

If Gamepass is lower than $15, they’d make a loss if WoW is on Gamepass. In that case they keep the subs separate and “double dip” for players with Gamepass and WoW.

Not unless they rebuild it from the ground up, so no.

Says $10 equaling $60 a year according to search.

I’m mainly curious if GP is optional for those that have it or if they are going to force us all into GP to be able to play or keep option of paying as we currently do.

I’ll be honest, I’m hoping the option of how we are now paying (for those paying monthly with debit/credit cards) will remain because I’m fairly sure myself and possibly others aren’t going to want to fork over $25 a month to have access to WoW.

It doesn’t seem likely to me that offering WoW at 33% off via Gamepass is a good financial strategy for them. So they should keep the subs separate.

I hope it stay because honestly, even as long as I’ve played WoW , I’m not going to want to pay the same price as my netflix to play this.

Agreed, no company would give up $15.99 USD per month revenue on a single title. Wouldn’t happen until they stop active development and it’s some kind of legacy status and no one is playing it.

I’m sure the 20 people still playing Diablo 4 are going to be super happy.

I play WoW and ESO.
As long as nothing interrupts my game time, I really dont care how they do it.

Is ESO expansions/sub included in gamepass or a whole other expense?

I wish I knew, I would have just waited to play D4 lol

no, mine is thru Steam. I think you can get the game a few different avenues though

Me too honestly. Seems to be the trend in the last 10 years, at least wait a month or year before picking a game that had a rough reception at release :face_with_peeking_eye:.

You’re assuming there is no overlap though… I doubt it would really be 5 million new Gamepass users.

I know right haha

I even did do that! I bought it when it was on sale. Good things come to those who wait, and great things come to those who wait even longer!

Now I am interested to know if WoW will go on the game pass… Isn’t the game pass cheaper? So like we save money and also get more games?

I also wonder what this means for people who bought TWW (and if expansions are part of the game pass thing)

I think they tried selling a horse for more than the base game.

Never had, never will get Xbox gamepass.

Instead I have the Sony Premium subscription. I own a PS5, will never own Xbox or use gamepass on my PC

This is very true! I’m trying to get better at this. I got lucky with tekken 8 this year and SF6 last year, I haven’t struck out since  .

I’m friends with some people who worked on D4 so it was supporting my friends game, and I could finally ask them the in-depth questions haha. I got my money worth :sunglasses:!

If they do that (require gamepass for WOW), I’m gone. Instantly. And I will not come back again. I will unsubscribe faster than I ever have before, and won’t have to think about it for even half a second.

I don’t care what kind of things they offer as an option. But if they require gamepass, I’ll be gone so fast the servers will spin.

Ooh, tinfoil time here. I have a sneaking suspicion that they announced three new WoW expansions at once, for the first time ever, because they didn’t know how Microsoft was going to handle WoW. And they didn’t want them to close it or go into maintenance mode at the last xpac for a WoW 2, available on console with a new game and maybe new team.
