I downloaded the authenticator through googleplay store and installed it. It shows as active on my battlenet page and I already logged in using it. I logged into my character and there is still a little + sign on the bags and only 16 slots? I’m confused.
The authenticator is half of the requirement. Blizzard Phone Notifications is the second part. Do you have that setup too?

We’re also asking to get the patch notes updated. Many folks who were around when this feature became active know about the 2 requirements:

Actually I just added my phone number, received the text and entered it successfully and STILL no extra bag slot!?

Log out of the game and back in again to see if that updates it.
Another thing to do is disable your addons and they should show up

Make sure to fully log out of the game and re-login after attaching the security devices.

I have the extra bag slots for retail but they arent working for classic?

Ok it finally worked, directly exiting game didn’t work but logging out first then exiting did.
Oh and Perl I saw you asked another user about the emulator thing. That’s what I used because my phone isn’t ‘smart’ and android virtual device worked perfect.

I believe it’s just for the retail game - namely the 4 bag spots.
Nah they just added it today to classic.
Since it was just added to Classic today, it’s possible that addons aren’t setup to recognize it and could cause some problems.
Remove any addons you’re using in Classic and check for the extra bag slots using the default game ui

All addons are disabled and it’s not working.

Disabling different from a full UI reset try the a proper reset.

Ya it seems to have turned on now about 45mins later after adding SMS. Worked right away for retail but not classic. Odd

Sorry, not disabled - I mean close down the game and remove the folders (you don’t need to delete them, just pull them out to your desktop). Relog after you do that and see if the extra slots show up.
Disabling them means they’re still installed/the game files are still modified - they just don’t get displayed.

Anyway to get this feature to work (the phone number) if I live in Asia. It always gives me an error when I try to use my number here.

You might try and see if your situation is similar.
Additionally, some phone services just aren’t compatible with the SMS Protect feature.
