People leaving groups? Yes, that’s exceedingly normal. Blizzard has said in the past that they don’t want to force people to play with folks they don’t want to, and not every key is successful.

But leaving groups is normal gameplay.
At this point, anyone who is PUG’ing should be careful because you never know how many bad groups you are going to have to leave…and how they are adding up drops for punishment.
So many a day? A week? A month?
Just be scared. Thats what they want.

No. Its not.
A breakdown would be very beneficial on their own end. They don’t have to give exact metrics but explaining themselves would stop a lot of the whining to say the least. In my experience leaving 10’s is quite rare but when people do it it 100 percent sucks especially when there is no good reason for it.
So can’t say it if this was entirely justified but I for me at least it doesn’t matter for I almost never leave high keys for u can tell how things are going to go quite early and I’m quite comfortable with finishing a key for vault slots as most people.
And most people are comfortable communicating that early on so everyone is on the same page.
This is a slipperly slope. I think I am done pugging. I usually stayed for vault if the 10 seemed reasonably completable, but it isn’t worth the risk of being banned if I get several truly bad groups in a row. I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes much harder to fill pug groups now.

While there are times where people abandon on purpose to troll or screw people over, in my experience those aren’t common.
If group wipes to 1st boss 4 times and the healer/dps are at fault for it and have no intention to improve, why should i be held hostage to the key? Does this mean i need to afk until they decide to just call it?
Completely absurd change.
There are also times where people basically carry people without telling you in the LFG tool so you’ll be essentially punished if you leave when you realize you’ve been duped and have to carry dead weight?
How about if the tank decides to leave but this stops him? Does this mean he can strip naked and intentionally pull and wipe till everyone else leaves before he does, just to circumvent this?
Like stop. This is not alright. I can understand repeat offenders that get reported for this, but you shouldn’t hit players that haven’t done anything wrong.

If they key is going to fail, especially at higher levels…you drop group. That’s the way it is.
You get reduced rewards for failed keys. There is no reason to stay.

Actually, no you don’t. You still get loot at the end. The only thing that literally happens is a lowered key and no IO score.

Lowered score as in none, because you don’t need a bricked key or a doomed group.
Groups quite often voluntarily disband if the obvious is shown but the majority of people are willing to finish 10’s for vault slots and gear chance at end.
Intentionally sinking a good group that can just finish a 10 is rare but when it happen it absolutely sucks hard.
