How can any level 1 toon show up there!!!
So, son texted me from the hospital, where he’s been the last 7 weeks after a sudden bout of ulcerative colitis that cost him his colon at 17 and otherwise healthy, to let me know he’d made it to 14 and was looking forward to me getting online to play with him. I have a blind 2 week ban. blind as in, I was not told what it’s for. no email, no text, no notes on my account. nothing. I’ve been playing since 2004. I have never been banned. I have no idea what I am now banned for. I only know, I’m paying to play a game with my three sons, that I cannot now play with them because… ? Because? Because? Apparently, that isn’t important. If it was, I would know. Epic fail. I’ve been frustrated with wow policy before but never been singled out to be abused by it. I know understand why so many people have left. It’s not the game play. It’s the management.

Bravo! Keep up the good fight! I made a post on Cata Classic forums about the bots being out of control, and all I got was smart alec comments and jokes. That’s part of the problem with the community, they either don’t care to report them, or are doing it themselves. I know I’ve personally had over 2 dozen bots removed from Cata Classic, verified by the response letters Blizzard sends me.
If you run 30 dungeons or w/e a day, YOU NEED TO GO OUTSIDE MORE.
I’ve reported a guy several times that sits in Sholazar Basin all day and all night . He is lvl 85 but has lvl 60 gear on . He’s still there in Sholazar Basin . Oh but I’m sure he’s not a gold farmer, nah!
Alterac Valley Harassments by mass reporting. Recently, specifically Alliance, mass reportings have been happening. These reportings are actually harassments as people are reporting players for participating in AV as it was originally intended, complete quests, kill other players and push to kill the final boss. Now they are killing the lieutenants and commanders and letting the Horde over run and kill the final boss. If you try to stop the horde, engage in actual pvp and or try to complete any of the quests in there you are mass reported as game sabotage. Even when blizzard looks into it, I have seen accounts suspended for actual game play. Blizzard needs to either change the honor points for Lieutenants and commanders or actually follow through and start banning people for false reporting in the masses.

I received a 2 week ban, and have done nothing wrong. Blizz please respond.
They did. BG non-participation.
I’m all in favor of suspensions/bans when warranted, but I think Blizzard is a bit fast on the draw.
That said, My account was recently banned, with only vague information as to why. I actually had to create a free account to fight it.
Thankfully, it was reinstated. Here is the reinstatement email:

We recently closed this Battle.net Account as part of our on-going efforts to combat exploitation and abusive behavior. After an additional review of the evidence, we determined this closure was an error. We’re reopening this account for play and hope you will accept our sincere apologies for the mistake.

My understanding is that they’re looking into malicious reporting and anyone who was the target of malicious reporting should be set free from any account actions that resulted. It sounds bad, but overall, it’s a good thing. They’re adapting their rules and policies to account for an unintended and unexpected behavior by the player community.
WoW has a diverse, innovative, and dynamic social community full of all kinds of different people and perspectives. Some of them boundary test by nature and will use unexpected methods to get their way. When those are discovered, they’re addressed. It’s part of MMO maintenance in general and not unique to any one MMO.

So i play on Nightslayer, and while it has been nice to see the bots get banned and gold buyers punished. My guild leader was recently banned for trading gold between his 2 accounts. Crugg and Crugging. He was flagged for being a gold buyer when i assure you he did no such thing. Basically everyone on nightslayer horde side knows who he is he has been making Lionheart helms and has made a VERY SUBSTANTIAL amount of gold. And i believe an auto detect system flagged him for buying hold when he transferred gold between characters. I just wanted to make this post because he is thinking about quitting the game and it would be a massive hit to our guild possibly 20-30 subs lost in that case

Can u report exploits
I don’t know if there’s an ideal method for that. If someone threatens you in chat with a report, reporting them “for chat” should at least get it in front of a GM who will read what they said. I don’t know if that would trigger anything from the hacks team perse because of routing, but that would be my best guess.
You’ll want to trigger something in the system to let them know. If you send a screenshot into hacks without reporting the text, there’s a chance they may write it off as an edited image.
They may have missed some but they took out some innocent ones too. I was banned…I mean literally banned (not suspended) for 48 hours, thankfully they reinsated me after an “investigation”. I am thanful to be back, but both the ban and the reinstatement were vague, at best, on why I was even banned.
Is this like tarriffs on Chinese gold farmers?
