interesting less than I was hoping for though seems like it was maybe all on eu side but yeah.
regarding that, how do you actually find that on imgur if you have never used it? actually very curious

it’s an album not much said though tbh
And the fun part is that i’m now going to have this outage icon here forever, because the server is gone!
Ah it completely disappeared from my list not even an outage icon anymore.
A couple days ago I tried to use their service to get myself a rare hunter pet, on their website it was advertised as 50k.
When I got to discord they were demanding 100k gold and their management refused to honor their advertised price.
Karma is a MF.
It’s like the situation where Internet scammers hire unwitting idiots to accept deliveries or money transfers and then have those idiots forward the goods or money transfers back to the scammers.
The unwitting idiots usually don’t go to jail but they don’t get paid or reimbursed for their services either.
Lol what are you talking about? Cuts weren’t hidden boosters were fine with what essentially 20% added for the buyer to pay it didn’t come out of booster cuts.
Issue was apparently eu side management got greedy and started selling gold for cash.
Is anyone going to admit to knowing they were doing RMT?
If the purpose of the organization was to generate WoW gold to convert to cash money, all the other things don’t matter.
No it originally really wasnt. I think what happened is over time the people at the top literally ran out of stuff to buy.
The silence is for spamming, I believe? So if they don’t spam, they don’t risk a silence.
Seems like by your own logic, the best solution would be getting rid of borrowed power.
To be fair, neither she nor any of the other people involved knew the organization dealt in RMT at the time they were doing or using the carries.
This only works if you have a seller on your server.
Here’s why Gallywix got big: they paid a lot better than the token value that most carry groups could get for a run. They also advertised enough to drive up the price of runs well beyond token price. Both of these factors also drove up the number of people participating in carries.
Based on what some people have said about the customers asking about money prices for additional runs, it seems the business model was to accept money for some carries, and pay the carriers gold out of their management cut from other carries. That’s still an RMT even if what they are taking cash for is carries rather than gold.
Good
Anyone mad about this is just mad they can’t sell or buy runs/gold with RMT anymore. Stay mad.
It’s intended to be. I’d assume that Galliwix is 100% toxic until you receive clarification otherwise. If you get a payout from them, don’t open it and open a ticket with a GM to ensure it’s ‘clean’ before you accept it.
Blizz doesn’t want to be clear on this as that could potentially limit their actions in the future, so they are deliberately being grey and will likely do clarification on a case by case basis where no precedent is set and the outcome is confidential under pain of ban.
Fantastic news blizzard. These people were the embodiment of annoying.
Finally, Blizzard is trying to take back control of the game.
Now if they will just crack down on all the companies advertising run throughs and gear runs on Raider IO, and give some sort of penalty for rage quitting on M+keys(like if you rage quit, or mysteriously go linkdead after a boss fight
and don’t return after 5-10 minutes, the game kicks you AND blocks you from other M+ keys for 12-48hours, and replaces you with someone else in the qeue) the game might be able to snap back to normal, where you have to oh I dunno actually wipe a few times to learn the material instead of paying a 3rd party site to carry your pathetic toons and cherry pick the gear you couldn’t get on your own.
System in place now holds no grudges for somebody quitting mid run and screwing the rest of the team and the key indefinitely. That has to change. Why punish the ones that want to actually finish the content, and let the slimy eels get away with ruining the experience? It is no wonder people are paying for run throughs and gear runs. Change this, and your 3rd party interference headaches will go away.
But what about those thousands of bigbosstv, wowvendor, worldofboosting ads that I’ve reported? Shouldn’t you take action against those that abused lfg first?
No it was absolutely not policy to do any rmt runs. Multiple people were striked weekly for even suspicion of taking an rmt.
Gallywix got big because they partnered with top guilds who felt safe to partner with them since they had been around for multiple years without action against them.
