It was a discord community, likely named gallywix after the goblins And gold themes. It was cross server and on both factions etc.

People who think boost advertising is going to die down now that Gallywix Boosting is dead are in for a rude awakening. Everybody is jumping ship to a new community (one that actually has a blizzard GM auditing their transactions).

Pretty much all the high end people that were with them left when they got tagged with rmt bans a while back.
It’s going to be interesting to see what happens about 6 billion gold just got yeeted out of existence and the server is completely gone. Maybe the NA team will make a new one or something since supposedly they had copious documentation and it wasn’t on this side but idk.
Token prices are probably going to spike hard

Anyone else notice the similarities between the “don’t slander the entire community” comments with people who like to say “there are only a few bad apples” when it comes to corrupt cops?
A few bad apples always spoils the whole bunch. Good riddance I say! If anything the people who weren’t abusing RMT can reform and come back as a better community, hopefully with less in game spam.
If the supply of gold falls then the demand for something that costs gold will fall, hence a dropping in the gold value of a token. I’d be willing to bet that the vast majority of the gold that disappears would never have been spent on a token though, as the majority of gallywix boosters already have way more money than they’d need to pay for all of the real money costing goods in blizzards library. Likely the cost of a token will drop very slightly and the demand for tokens (both by in-game buyers and people buying them with $) won’t change much.
I think people are more annoyed about the 6 billion gold that was yeeted out of the economy thankfully I was lazy last cycle and only lost something like 200k but I know people who lost millions.
Hopefully, you guys go after the also… they are just as bad and annoying in trade chat… I see no difference between Huokon and Galleywix communities.
I think you are misunderstanding the difference between RMT and advertising in trade chat / group finder.
