The title is straight to the point but there is a secondary point of which i make a post.
Show your work! Have those doing the bot purges stream some of their “banning” by hiding character names it will go a MASSIVE way of proving that you really are taking action.
What the Blizzard team hasn’t understood for a while now is that when you say something since you don’t always do what you say… some of… most of i’d guess don’t believe anyone on the team,
Just like was there ever a #ripcord which is doubtful… streaming some of the botting bans per week will go a long way for a tiny amount of effort of setting somebody up able to stream their work and perhaps talk to the chat.
Hours and hours of Blizzard Dev time is hidden and we interact with GM’s and Forum monitors… and listen to what Ion has to say (as we can’t really converse back) but the Dev team is cut out of the middle of conversation too it is too easily forgotten how much effort goes into this job… and perhaps a couple of Streams of play testing replicating bugs from bug reports… and similar other “almost finished” parts of content can be streamed for viewers.
The bond between Blizzard and its playerbase has been throw into a pit and right now there is no way to get it back without trying something new… a couple of streams isn’t a fix… but it’ll help. - Let the playerbase back into the picture… all the promises of keeping us updated always end up ignored months later (EG silent classic team removing layers from realms who still needed them, and made other changes without even announcing it)
They depend on player reports, then do their bi-yearly ban, and that’s about it.
They have no eyes in the game anymore. They introduced tokens in retail and decimated their GM team and thought that was great. Especially since they’re not paying actual people to monitor their game.
They need GM’s if Classic and TBC are going to be successful. Then again, not sure they care about that.
The bot parade is obscene. I really want give up and just pull the plug at this point. Blizz may not miss my monthly payment, and I will miss Azeroth, but clearly they don’t give it that much thought so why should I?
Like everyone else, I do have an emotional investment in this game so I keep hoping and hanging around.
It’s like being in a toxic relationship.
This never happened. Their support team is larger than ever.
This is false, they ban multiples times a month.
They have GMs. Hover over the little Red question mark you see in your UI:
Help Request
Through this menu, you can report a bug. You can also use the Help Request menu to talk to one of our Game Masters (GMs) in the game if you have any questions or need assistance.
It really isn’t. Blizzard doesn’t do anything about bots or hacks. They do nothing about making the game more enjoyable (talking that garbage pile known as retail). They’re ONLY concerned with profits, not being innovative or creative. They break promises.
As far as them being the most popular MMO, they don’t release their sub numbers so that’s pretty much speculation at this point. They’ve lost millions of players due to their greed and stupidity.
This is actually false and they answered a lot of questions regarding “IN GAME” Game masters in an interview but thanks for just randomly replying to be a white knight activions donk.
This is partially true as they will send you an in game mail stating that your report led to a ban but will not go into detail. I reported around 50 bots in hammerfall over the past weekend and got 1 in game mail. Did that 1 mail get multiple bots banned or just 1 account?
99% of the time you get an automated response. If you ever actually used the little red question mark you would know that. Unless it has to directly do with your password and or $$$$$ on your account you are going to get a couple of automated responses.
