Action is Restricted

Hi,

I haven’t really played since MoP. However, my account can’t trade, mail, or use Auction House. It keeps saying I am restricted.

Why penalize new and returning players?? I have to be subscribed for 26 days before this goes away.

This really makes me want to not play again and say bleep blizzard. This is a poor choice to penalize returning players.

It is to help fight against bots, as well as RMT.

This is in place due to botters, gold sellers and the like. You can blame them for this. No, Blizzard isn’t going to remove this because it’d just invite them back. No, there isn’t a way to talk this out with a GM to get it personally removed.

To go into a bit more detail to the posts above, to combat against bots whos owners will spend $15 to hawk their ‘’‘services’‘’ for a month before vanishing, there is a month delay between a new account and being able to access the AH and other such services.

Sadly there’s no way to lift this restriction, and keep in mind it’s not against you, it’s against those who would lie, manipulate and steal from others. It’s all too common to see people lose their accounts because a bad actor stole the credentials.

While some may be savvy enough to see through such ploys, too many are not and safeguards must be in place.

I believe there’s a thread (probably more than one) on this subject in General Discussion, where you can add your feedback if you like.

There’s no way a GM can remove this?

I’m afraid not, Xixao - that’s hard-coded, no way to circumvent it
