Acrobatic Strikes (Rogue talent that increases melee range) shouldn't function in PvP

This is one of those talents that you may not think about but if you analyze the game at a deeper level you start to see how broken something like this is. It was fine when outlaw had it as this was their niche of being a brawler rogue. Does not make sense to allow sub/assassination to have access to this.

Just so many things wrong with sub design I don’t even know where to begin. The CC changes did nothing to subs control and I regularly see high rated rogues on stream get saps off combat drops mid-match.

Can’t even actually kite sub rogues because they were given 2 charges of step on short CD for some reason and never need to use them because at least half of the game a majority of your team is sitting cheaps/kidneys/gouges.

The nerfs tomorrow don’t even begin to touch the problems with the sub. This spec could have its an entire damage nerfed by 25% and still win games because of how much control it has.

I don’t think Auto’s going a bit out of melee typical range has ever been my problem with facing Sub/Rogues in general.

The fact that you think this only affects auto attacks is just…lmao.

Considering I’m playing a Melee class who 70% of my damage can be done while ducking from behind a pillar at 30 yards, yeah I don’t think it does much. Even if It does affect their abilities too.

Now excuse me while I crit you for 106k with my melee ability from 30 yards.

Think it’s a hunter alt for a warlock player iirc which makes it 2x as bad

i think being able to land kidney from nearly the length of a nagrand pillar away is pretty forgiving considering 2 step charges

during last season’s assa meta i remember diamond trapping step, binding shot trinket and freedom myself, rogue still lands kidney 1.5 sec later after getting dispelled. bad design

to add to that WW doesn’t need 9 yard leg sweep when it already has serpent kick, keefer’s spammable autocharge, and three roll charges. i’m not counting incap or rop offensively either

today i scattered fsk, pre knock-trapped roll 1, bursting shot roll 2, pre-disengage roll 3

and leg sweep range is long enough it landed mid disengage anyway

melee mobility is high, that’s fine but their win conditions don’t need to be landable from near double base melee range on top of it

Part of the big problem holding outlaw back is that sub has all of the most important parts of what made the outlaw kit work on top of having the whole sub package. Outlaw used to be the only one with CDR on its defensives and had access to gouge when the other rogue specs didn’t. Outlaw is supposed to be the spec that can go a little bit more toe to toe with other melee outright, and was compensated for it’s relatively lower burst by having the extra cc. So it’s not just that there’s nothing unique about outlaw any more, you also have to compete against people playing sub who do everything that you’re supposed to do while having a superior overall kit in general. Outlaw should be the only spec with the CDR mechanics on evasion and cloak, and outlaw should be the only spec with cloakvasion. Sub and sin are supposed to die faster by design.
