Account suspension?

Blizz does not care what role they really are. They care that the character did not use their skills at all. None of them.

A player may do DPS, Healing, or both. What they can not do is zero of either.

The scoreboard counts self-healing as well. So you don’t have to be on a healing spec to show up on the healing stats.

Why would it be surprising if you get suspended for AFKing in battlegrounds (by your own admission, whether you want to call it “soft afk” or not).

And it probably happens more in classic because people were recently doing the R14 honor grind which required a ton of matches. So far most or all of the ones discussed here involved AV in Classic which is a lot easier to AFK in than something like WSG or AB.

So it isn’t that it’s easier to get actioned in Classic, it’s that there were a ton of people doing a massive honor grind in Classic, so there were way more people AFKing, and therefor more people getting suspended for AFK. It does happen in retail too.

Suspensions, not bans. And that’s for the first offense. It increases from there up-to and including an actual account closure/ban.

That’s not information that they’ve clarified or that they are likely to clarify. Simply put, don’t AFK or refuse/neglect to participate and you’ll be fine.

That’s actually an assumption, not a guess. It’s an incorrect assumption too.

Nope. Intentional gold buyers can see their accounts closed on the first offense even. As for other offenses, you’re just grasping at straws. Participate in PVP and you’ll neve have to worry about any account actions

“partially afk”??? So, still not participating? This is why they won’t go into details on this sort of thing. People try to rules-lawyer a reason for why they think they were still within the rules of participation.

I am not going to derail someone else’s thread for you to try and rule lawyer the forums.

Nonparticipation is nonparticipation. Zero Damage and Zero Healing. There is nothing to discuss.

For the sake of clarity, could you define these two terms? As far as I’m aware, one is either AFK or they are not AFK. This is the first time in a lifetime spent playing video games (and over twenty years playing this one specifically) that I’m being introduced to the concept of “sorta AFK”.

No, you do not get a 2 week SUSPENSION in “most cases”. You’re making up what you think is correct to try and bolster a point. Not sure why, but whatever. It seems, based on your last reply here, that you don’t really have a reason other than to try and argue.

People who received illicit gold unintentionally (or without knowledge) tend to start off with a 2 week suspension. People who knowingly BUY gold tend to get hit much harder with account actions.

If you think that people who do not participate or are kinda-AFK should not receive a two week suspension, then feel free to post in the PVP forums with a detailed thought on how they should be actioned for doing nothing in PVP.

Another false assumption. Best of luck with your future assumptions. They’re not working out well for you so far unfortunately. And yes, your posts would absolutely fall under the Trolling (with misinformation) section of the CoC.

Have a great night.

“Reduced Actions Per Minute” sounds more like a band name than a justifiable excuse.

I won’t help derail this thread more than it already has been so best of luck to you.

It only takes like 5. Everybody here, with the possible (probable?) exception of you, is well aware that cycling through alts to flag-bomb posts is enough to earn a forum time-out.

Yes, that is when Blizzard makes a mistake and gets the wrong player, which is extremely rare. Nonparticipation requires doing both no damage and no healing. The staff investigates over a period of time, and if they find that the majority of matches has the player doing no damage and healing, then that is when action is taken against the player.

No matter what others say on the Classic forums or on Discord, Blizzard sees everything. They can see when you enter a match and do nothing. They can see when you sit at a flag and do nothing. If all you chose to do is sit around and do nothing, then that is nonparticipation.

Battlegrounds are designed for you to be part of the team. Not for you to go solo and farm for freebies for nothing.

Abuse of the reporting system is a player switching between alts to report the post over and over. Reporting a post if the player feels it is in violation of the Forum Code of Conduct, is not abuse.

That is for the moderation to actually decide. Not you, not me, not ay of us players.

Nothing is being abused, so no, nobody is likely to ‘get actioned’. The most likely outcome will be that a Support Forum agent (SFA… a ‘blue’) will pop in and correct the misinformation you’ve attempted to spread, and hopefully provide you with an unvarnished explanation of exactly what triggered your 2-week suspension.

But that’s what you want, right? Clarity and transparency?

I can tell you haven’t spent much time here. Stick around a while and you’ll see that they clearly do action for non-participation in retail.

Pretty often, judging by the people who post here complaining about it. It’s most common in activities that are unsupported. For example, trading gold between classic and retail. The person who “buys” this service might be using gold they legitimately earned, but most of the groups offering this service were using gold obtained in some illicit or exploitative manner, like RMT, botting, stolen accounts, etc. Same with GDKP in many cases. That’s why many of these activities are completely banned now - Blizzard decided there was just too much sketchy stuff behind them. But before they banned it, the person using legitimate gold to buy dirty gold was likely to get a 2 week suspension even if they had no idea the source of the gold.

I’m glad I wasn’t along for this thread,
Another in a (growing) line of threads where OP gets an answer they dont like, then a totally unrelated player hijacks and trolls the thread.
