My WoW account was suspended while I was between AV games. I had to go afk during AV and came back to a deserter debuff. To my knowledge, I have done nothing wrong and suspect this to be an automated suspension due to team member flags.
I am attempting to submit an appeal, but when I click submit, the button shows a loading wheel and nothing actually happens. I have tried this on multiple browsers and multiple devices.
Your account is likely suspended for actions taken days or even weeks before the penalty.
All suspensions are given by human GM’s. Any unproven conspiracy theories you may see are incorrect and the result of penalised players attempting to seek validation in their innocence.
You should have received an email detailing why your account was suspended. I would check your spam/junk folder for the email as to why.
What you were doing at that moment isn’t necessarily why you were suspended. All account actions are done by a GM.
As for the appeal not submitting hopefully an SFA can assist but I recommend clearing your cookies/cache and if that doesn’t work try again in an hour or so to see if it will submit then.
I just created a test ticket with the appeal penalty button and while the button does seems to spin when I clicked back to my support page the ticket was succesfully submitted. This was on PC Chrome.
I just cleared cache and cookies and the submission went through instantly. Thank you!
Can you untangle this? Were you unable to log into the game or were you just unable to queue for BGs?
If the latter, you weren’t suspended and there is no mark on your account that submitting an appeal will have an effect on.
The debuff is simply an in-game mechanic to alert you that what you’re doing was not appreciated by your teammates.
My interpretation is that OP went AFK during an ongoing battleground, and was likely reported/voted off the island for non-participation, which (to mind, at least) seems an appropriate and justified response by their teammates.
OP could not have been in an AV match without being able to do both those things.
