Account suspended a day after sub renews, give me my money back

I get an email first thing when I wake up this morning saying the automated system has banned my account because too many people reported me in. If I can’t use my account, I don’t want my money wasted.

Part of the penalty is losing that paid for time.

If you think you were suspended in error, then file a ticket in appeal.

I have an appeal in, I can’t think of what I did other than calling out people who were afk’ing in AV over the weekend.

The reason for the suspension may not be recent.

The only thing that is automated is the squelch that comes from being reported ingame after a certain threshold. If you got a suspension, a GM reviewed it. If you think it is a mistake, You’ll need to submit a ticket for a review.

While we none of us know when the offense took place or any of the particulars - just wanted to touch on this. Depending on the language used (even if vulgarities are not used, language can still be an issue) and let’s be real here. I know I’m generalizing, but people seem to think that being more aggressive and even toxic in PvP is permissible, acceptable and the ‘norm’. It isn’t. Blizzard has been cracking down a lot more and a lot harder even before the social contract went into effect. You might not like what someone is doing, but if you go on to attack someone for any reason, you open yourself up to punishment. Even PvP is not an excuse to be a jerk to another player.

You don’t have to call people out. You right-click and report them and get on about your game. Just as they’re cracking down on how people are speaking and acting towards one another, they are also really hitting hard on people who are AFKing and hiding/defending bases and exploiting PvP gains. You should have seen folks flocking here after AV weekend who had been hit with suspensions for non-participation. If someone is taking advantage of others’ to do the heavy lifting? It will catch up to them. You don’t have to take it upon yourself to lash out at anyone.

This here ^^^^

Non participation in a PVP event gets people suspeneded for a week or 10 days. Those come after the account is proven to not participate in multiple BGs. They don’t just use reports, they use the game logs to view participation before issuing a suspension.

Just report them and let Blizzard sort it out. Never get baited into insulting others.

If you got suspended for in-game language that means a GM reviewed the reports along with the game logs attached. It can take time, so the infraction may not even be super recent. First offense is still usually a Silence, but if the account already has infractions they are back to issuing Suspensions.

None of that is automated, but GMs can make mistakes. If you feel they did, the only route is to appeal.

Game time is not refunded if you break the rules and get suspended. Any suspension longer than 2 weeks though and Blizzard will cancel any re-occuring billing to ensure you don’t get charged again.

You don’t get suspended by an automated system. A GM conducts an investigation when an account is reported by a few different players, and issues a punishment if they find that the reports are justified. You can squelched automatically by player reports, but that is a temporary in-game silence, not an account penalty.

Your punishment does not have to be recent, and it is between you and Blizzard what got you in trouble, if anything. People quite frequently come to the forums to try and contest an account action, claiming that they didn’t do anything wrong or can’t think of something that they did, only to have it be revealed by an SFA that accessed their game records that they did in fact brazenly violate the rules.

As long as you have your appeal in, you have done all that you can do.

This account is suspended until the 12th, Nanothot.

What others have stated is absolutely correct. While you may get squelched off reports - you don’t get suspended without a review. And penalty time also increases with more infractions over time.

May I recommend you lay off the F bombs and telling folks to ummm, unlive themselves?

Others are also correct that gametime and suspensions are independent of each other and refunds aren’t normally done for that reason .

Sometimes it’s not the what but the how.

Tone matters.

Ope, there we go. Confirmed.

Sorry, how is it Blizzard’s fault that the OP was completely inappropriate in-game? Break the rules, suffer the consequences.

I’d recommend against trolling this forum.
