Good afternoon,
I woke up a couple days ago to an email about my account being banned, when I took a look further down in my email it says that there was a recent log in attempt along with a verification code sent to my email and I guess they had my email password too.
I went ahead and changed my battlenet password as I haven’t in a long time and also added an authenticator, as I didn’t have one for a while and I guess this is what happens when you don’t. Same with my email I went ahead and changed my password there too and now I’m using a password manager so I hope that will help.
I’m not sure what’s going on I tried opening a ticket but it still hasn’t been answered after a couple days and I’m really stressing out about my account, is there anything I can do to help the process?
Thank you
Youve done everything uve can tickets are averaging 2 weeks the ban is normal and will usualy be removed once u apeal and let them know it was due to a comprimised ull also find ur toons nake normal as well a GM will restore the toons as well.

Ticket times are unfortunately running really long now. Your account likely was banned because hackers do not do nice things. During the recovery though, once it is found the access was part of the compromise the ban will be overturned.
Make sure to attach your ID if you could not log into the system, to help facilitate verifying the account ownership.
Also verify your email account and password are not also compromised, and the hacker also did not put email forwarding on your email address. Checking this can vary by email provider.
Also check your computer for possible malware/viruses that was used to steal your account passwords.

I will make sure to do so, fortunately I was able to get back into my account and make a ticket. I use gmail for my email so is there a link I can go to that I can check email forwarding?
In GMAIL, from the website anyway, click the settings gear by your account on the top right. It will show quick settings, but you want See all settings. Forwarding and POP/IMAP options are about the middle of the options.

I would also follow this Google support article to ensure your account isn’t currently logged in anywhere else:

I’ll take a look and any screenshots if I need to, for my ticket/
Screenshots aren’t needed, and for that matter, GMs would not accept them. They would go by their own logs to look for evidence of an account compromise. Not that I don’t believe you, just setting the proper expectations.
That article was for your benefit so you can force a log out for any device you do not recognize. Simply changing the password may not cause a log out for other devices currently logged in. Also add Google Authenticator as an additional layer of security.

Good luck. About 7-8 years ago I had my account hacked multiple times. They conned the GM’s to remove the authenticator from my account just by sending in tickets saying “remove my authenticator”
The hacker wasn’t even contacting them from my email which made matters worse.
That means the hackers had enough personal information about you to convince Blizzard they were actually you.

I still have the screenshots, most of them were very short. One said, “remove my auth”. LOL Didn’t even bother spelling it out. I guess they were able to log into my bnet account but there were about 6 times I got kicked out of the game because they had my authenticator removed. This went on for over a year. I don’t know if SS’s are allowed
I changed the email attached to my account twice to make it finally stop. Thankfully this happened back in the day when you actually got to speak to a human GM on the phone. They were extremely nice about it. One of the hackers sent a copy of a driver’s license. I will never forget the GM cracking up on the phone and explaining to me “I don’t understand how the GM removed the authenticator thinking it was you, this woman is wearing a tiara, you’re not even allowed to have your head covered when taking drivers license photo” Unfortunately, even since this happened to me, they told me they weren’t allowed to share the picture with me to see. I would’ve paid to see what they were trying to pass off as me.
One of the tickets was in Spanish, it was a pretty long one too. I don’t much Spanish other than “hola” lol
