I find it stress inducing to the fact that people yell and name call in pvp and dungeons. Its fine and dandy for the first 10+ years but sooner or later it catches up and you find yourself with elevated cortisol levels as you keep trying to push harder and harder in trying to perform better to not get yelled at.
Absolutely understandable, Julaalu. This can be especially true if you don’t have a guild or group of friends that you serve as a balm to the negativity of the anonymous user.
I do wish you well. If you change your mind, please note that you have very little time to do so. Once the process completes it cannot be undone.
Good luck to you!
I’ve been playing Palia in my downtime (between patches) of WoW. It’s a great little cozy game with a great community. I find it a lot of fun to build my housing plot, decorate, garden, and so on. And, best of all, it’s free to play. There is an in game store for cosmetics.
I don’t pug, I find it helps a lot.
Many of my contemporaries flamed out in the early days of PvP. I made sure I didn’t. Easy to say though, and harder to do. These days I do it by not PvPing at all.
Good luck with your future adventures, and I hope you find your joy.
Were you ever hacked? If so they never removed anything that the hacker added to your account, even if it was an additional account
I think I may have acted a bit out of anger this afternoon when I made this thread and rushed into account delete. I changed my mind about tossing my account in the trash can after thinking on it with a more clear mind. I was trying to cancel the delete request. I don’t know how to stop the delete request process.
I was angry with the direction of WoW’s development. And the sheer level of toxicity of other players. WoW is currently giving me a lot of stress but I just want to stick with a unsub and wait it out till WoW is more fun and changes direction.
How do I cancel the ticket to have my account deleted? I wish to stop the process.
Here’s how to try and stop the account deletion:
The sooner the better, they try to have it done within 5 days of the initial request. Once deleted, it cannot be undone.
Now all you need to do is figure out how to prevent Battle.net from allowing you to create a new account. Oh, wait, that’s not possible.
There are no substitutes for self-discipline.
Yep…if you want to take a break from WOW, you can just uninstall it from your computer and unsub. That way there are no bridges burned and you could return in the future (or not) if you wanted. I can think of very few reasons to actually delete the account.
Even when I left at the beginning of Shadowlands, expecting to never return, I didn’t delete my account. I just unsubbed and uninstalled. And guess what, things changed. The game COMPLETELY changed direction with Dragonflight into something I enjoyed again. So think really long and hard before deciding to burn that bridge.
I was upset yesterday. I was trying to delete it out of anger. Anger makes people do not so smart things. Im glad they added a cancel. Cause I regret going to the deletion section to begin with. I guess im a bit of a hot head. Which is why I need to take time off with just a unsub.
It can happen to the best of us, Julaalu. Were you able to put in a request to cancel the process?
Yeah got it cancelled a bit ago.
