Account Closure

My account (PANZERZ) was banned on December 13, 2024, under the false accusation of using cheats or hacks. Despite submitting numerous tickets, I have only received template responses from GMs stating that the ban has been upheld.

The issue began with the launch of “Classic Fresh.” Initially, I was simply raid logging Cataclysm content on my druid and paladin every week. However, when I learned that “Fresh” servers were coming, I was incredibly excited. I have always enjoyed the early versions of WoW, and this new opportunity was a dream come true. During “Classic Fresh,” I committed significant time to ensure I could maintain my spot in a highly competitive guild. This led to long play sessions, which may have appeared unusual.

For example, after a Cataclysm raid, I was very close to hitting level 60 on my druid. I decided to pull an all-nighter to prepare for the following week’s Molten Core raid. I spent approximately 24 consecutive hours in-game to reach level 60, acquire pre-BiS gear, level up professions, and prepare consumables for the raid.

While these long sessions may have seemed suspicious, I was genuinely playing the game the entire time. I did not use any malicious software or botting programs. I feel this situation is unfair, as I am confident in my innocence. I strongly believe that a more thorough investigation into my account will confirm that I did not violate the Terms of Service.

I was simply excited about WoW Classic and invested a lot of time into playing. I suspect my permanent ban may be related to the extended hours I spent in-game. However, I was dual-boxing with two accounts on the same computer, and yet only one account was banned for cheats/hacks. To my knowledge, this suggests that there is no malicious botting software on my computer.

Given this information, both of my accounts should have been banned if they were running the same software on the same computer. It doesn’t make sense for only one account to be banned under these circumstances. Therefore, the ban on my account lacks sufficient evidence to support this false accusation of cheating. I really hope someone can look deeper into this as I have so much love for the game that Blizzard created.

Then you need to appeal. Posting here will result in absolutely Nothing.

With regards to account actions, they almost always stick to a small handful of template responses.

The only way for that to happen is via a ticket. You’re welcome to reopen your appeal until such time that you are told no further appeals will be viewed and that further tickets will be considered GM harassment.

Ok since no one’s asked yet. Do you use your pc for any work related things? Use any automation software auto hot key etc? As that will definitely get you in hot water. I don’t believe that the number of hours one plays the game would be of any relevance.

Thanks I understand I have seen other forum posts where customer service rep has escalated the ticket and which resulted in an overturn.

They don’t escalate them, they let people know if, from their appeals, their situation has been escalated. All you can do is appeal via tickets.

No.

The only way this forum was involved in any of these cases is by encouraging affected players to submit the proper appeal ticket. After that, it was entirely in the hands of the reviewing customer support personnel, none of whom come here or have anything to do with the forums.

No I do not have auto hot key or an automation software nor do I use my personal computer for work related things.

You dual box also? How do you interact with the toon that’s following. 1 key press one action, if using mouse wheel to activate the other screen then that’s automation.

Yes I was dualboxing but don’t use any programs for doing it. I made a follow macro on my second account and alt tab to swap back and forth.

Yet that has come from info found in the logs not as a result of posting here! No one here can help you in getting your account action over turned.

Do you use anything that would be considered streamlining? Like hovering the mouse over the second client and activating commands using lets say the mouse wheel? Can be done with in windows and will very much get you in this situation as that would be streamlining.

No I dont.

Just keep appealing until they tell you they will not hear any further appeals! Best of luck to you

The biggest issue here is we did look deeper, Shieldsky.

Why does the name on this - and the name on your other Battlenet, which aligns much more closely with your other info not match?

Why do all the other licenses banned long ago on this account have other account holders? 5 different ones.

This has been exhaustively looked into from all your appeals. I’m afraid this one is closed. Your WoW 4 is still open, but should it ever have reason to come up for review, it is very likely to share the same fate.

Everyone has a sob story when it comes to bans, often bending the facts to paint themselves as victims. But let’s be real —owning up to your actions is more respectable than trying to manipulate the narrative. Your logs are proof enough as the customer support has kindly responded and clarified. Do better. Cheating not only costs you respect but also makes it hard for anyone to take you seriously. Nobody likes someone who can’t take accountability. Do better friend.
