Account character limit increase?

How do they usually do these? I’m up to 56 characters now and I think the limit is 60. Do they increase it every expansion? Will it go up to 70? 75? 100?

IIRC the first time they changed the limit was for Dragonflight so I doubt they will raise it again soon. It was 50 from Vanilla to the end of SL.

wasnt sure there was a limit lol

That’s unfortunate. I already have quite a few deleted characters, I guess I’ll have to keep deleting them lol

Actually they changed it before too. The limit used to be 50 across the account, yeah, but it was limited to… I think 13? per realms.

I really hope they let us buy slots someday…

No please don’t give them that idea. Delete this.

I would never spend irl money on this, I’ll just keep deleting the ones I don’t play

Suffer well.

Ya’ll have any idea how much money I’ve given GW2. >.>

This is probably the best solution.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve given Blizzard a lot of money, I just wouldn’t give them any for extra character slots

That’s cool only the people that really need more slots would pay.

my guy, if you need to pay for slots when you have 60 of them, somethings wrong. Like, honestly having the cap is a good thing because, really, you know those characters aren’t going to be played, no real reason to keep them. Like I have over 20 alts with half of them at 70 on one realm, Hell, the most I did in this game until 10.2 was level alts. Yet I still have less than 30 on the account that aren’t deleted.
Like, 60 characters is A LOT of characters. That’s more than enough to have 2 of every class max level.
So regardless if Blizz gives the option, buying slots is a bad idea purely because it’s equal to throwing your money in a trash can. Like more worthless than anything you can buy in their shop right now.

you already kind of can. Add and fund a 2nd wow license on your account to add 60 character slots.

Just like playing the game is like throwing your money in a trash can.

No, the limit has been 50 since Vanilla and only with DF did they up the character limit to 60.

I wish i could buy extra slots for like $5 a piece, that would be awesome and i would never have to worry about running out of slots.

Because nothing. It’s not a good thing. They don’t need to give you a damn reason for why they have this many characters, it’s not your business to know. The limit has no utility.

So you play 60 characetrs ACTIVELY?
Not a single one is sitting in one place for more than a day?
Get real.
You know damn well half of those characters aren’t touched for months, if ever again.
So yes, the cap is a good thing, stop being a stubborn hoarder.

And? What’s your problem with that?

My problem is having 60 characters and saying you need more slots because you are too much of a hoarder to delete that character from 2 years ago you aren’t going to ever touch.
