Hey
Asking for a friend can you get banned for buying accounts?
Can you get banned for doing the one thing everyone knows is bannable? Yes you can.
Will you ? however is a different question.
Will you get banned for botting? That’s a resounding no. Can you? Yes.
Yep that’s what I was thinking it’s a bannable offense but will blizzard do it that’s the question.
I would say they would. Buying accounts has been around since vanilla think it was before wrath or cata blizz laid the hammer down hard on doing it.
I remember ebay having its own section for wow accounts some went for crazy amounts of money.
eBay had its own section for MMO gold, Ultima Online real estate, EQ items etc. The Wild West era of the internet
They most certainly do and accounts that are shared tend to get Suspended or banned. This assumes it is detected.
Further, buying an account is a fast way to get it perma removed as well. You can’t change the name on the account without legal documentation. Without that, the original owner can take it back any time. Blizzard also don’t help if a person gets locked out, has account access issues, etc. That account is toast and so is their money.
NEVER buy Bnet accounts and think you can keep them.
this is cope, they only ban based on reports and nothing else
This is very accurate. Getting banned is totally up to the personal feelings of whomever is behind the screen at Blizzard. I know personally this is true.
Yes. If we can verify that the account was purchased, it is very possible. You also have to contend with the possibility of the registered user on the account recovering the account you “purchased”.
Yes, and many users over the years have been suspended or had their accounts closed as a result.
We beg to differ.
We have an entire team dedicated to rooting out exploitation that would disagree with that. We appreciate the reports that are received and they help a great deal in helping to deal with the various policy violations that are reported, but we do not only act on player reports.
