I dunno, it can’t be that great. Loads of them choose to play on OCE servers for some reason.
But that is so wrong. You have cooldown classes that combine active essences with trinkets and their cooldowns and do a massive chunk of their damage by lining up all these cds, examples being fire mages and destro locks. You have essences that function as extra healing cds. You get a literal extra ability with conflict and strife for the few classes that get a good honor talent in pve. Disc priests using rising tide in concordance with their atonement cycle and damage phases. These are all significant gameplay changes from dazar alor class rotations.
I hope you don’t actually believe that essences don’t change gameplay. In fact I thought you played a 8/8 mythic tank, most of the tank essences function as answers to incoming damage, and vary fight to fight based on what you are expecting to get hit by. What gives?

Sorry the one and only character that gets free power ups for doing nothing is Sylvannas.
I’ve done the essence grind 3x now on three different healers, and picked up their dps/tank essences too (or most of them). This crap was awful the first time, much less time #3 and I still have other alts I want to play. Some of my alts like my hunter or warrior are left in a partially complete state just because I can’t be bothered again.
Either make the essences account bound, or just scrap the acquisition method altogether, put them on a vendor, and call it a day. It wasn’t a good system from day 1, and isn’t going to be any better in 8.3.

Thats some good ol fashion character progression there. Run, some normal to get your essence. Yeah, it drops WQ level stuff but just endure that stuffto get your one essence.
And you will be set free…
No such thing as PvE servers and 25% horde population when Nazjatar and Warmode are cross realm.
25 kills is super easy to get. Wait for Battle for Nazjatar, join a raid. Go where the blob is to kill horde.
Downside - Coders have to spend time on that to implement taking away time from other bugs/features.
Now, is it a reason why we shouldn’t have them account bound? No.
But hey, I was just playing devil’s advocate since you wanted to be proven wrong.

you’re being a jerk just becuase you can. the essences absolutely do impact your gameplay. i look at my logs for raids and CLF is a good 8-15% of my damage depending on the fight. conflict and strife’s chill streak with icecap build and pillarwhelps trait took me from 30k dps in M+ runs to 70k dps.
essences are not “use different essences” they’re “get them or don’t do relevant content”.
we already put in the effort once, that’s the whole point

Very ironic considering you expect people to be on here all day to argue with you and then when they have to leave you make it out like some sort of character flaw.
