I’ve submitted a ticket, curious how long it’ll be. 90 Dollars is comparatively very steep and I wasn’t intending on spending this much-- please help!
A few days maybe more or less - also depends on your banks processes and policies too.
Oh no you misunderstand, I’m wondering how long it’ll take for the ticket to be answered-- I was anxious about it taking over 24 hours to process a refund. I planned to play with some people later today and it’d be an issue to hold them up while waiting for this ticket to resolve, as I’ve seen that the refund policy only works if you don’t touch it and it’s an expansion purchase.
I didn’t though.
While the ticket might be answered, getting the actual refund will take longer. Doubtful it’ll happen in the next 24 hours.
The Refund system is partly automatic to get refunds in the hands of players as fast as possible - if they are eligible.
When putting in a refund ticket the self-help portion of the system grants it automatically if you meed the refund policy criteria. https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/legal/58e4a812-afd0-4d47-b34d-d4fdf99e41cb/blizzard-refund-policy
Games and Expansions
We refund paid games or expansions within 14 days of purchase, as long as you haven’t played for more than two hours.
How long it takes to get the money back in your account is going to depend on your financial institution. Refunds tend to take longer than purchases to move the money back. * See note at end.
There are some situations where Blizzard can’t help:
- The purchase is so new it is still processing and has not completed. They can’t refund it if it has not actually been finalized in their system. They have to wait for that to happen before they can refund the purchase. They can’t cancel a purchase you authorize ones it is pending.
- They also can’t help if the refund policy is not met - which can include using items from the purchase like boosts, early access game time, etc. Playing for more than 2 hours. Getting an account penalty such as a suspension or silence. Accounts with lots of history of refunds may also not be eligible.
Ticket times are a few days depending on the issue. Hopefully a Blue can give you some guidance on your current account status and what steps you can take next.

When you ask for a refund, your funds are not returned immediately upon request, but when the refund is approved.
- If you use the self-service option in the website, your refund is approved immediately upon request, provided you received confirmation that you were eligible for the refund.
- If you spoke to a Game Master instead, your refund requires the review and approval of another person, which can take a few days.
Once an order shows as Refunded in your order history, the money is always returned to the original payment method, and Blizzard Customer Support cannot speed up the return of funds. Refunds usually take 3-10 working days to fully complete. Please note that business days do not include weekends and public holidays. Depending on the payment method, the transaction can take up to 6 weeks.
This looks like it was resolved, yes?
I see a refund and a purchase of the base edition.
