Accidental Transfer to Whitemane WOTLK instead of Whitemane Classic Era (PLEASE HELP)

Afternoon,

I’m in the same boat as others and accidentally transferred my level 60 warrior and level 1 bank alt to Whiteman WOTLK instead of Whitemane Classic Era.

I have searched through topics and found this post here with pretty much the same circumstances.

I’ve been told 3 times in different ways from a GM that they cannot reverse the transfer even though I’ve seen multiple posts marked as resolved.

I’m posting this in hope that a support rep will assist in my matter.

Thank you,

ZR

This was my latest response:

That still does not solve my problem. I’ve seen multiple posts out there with people who experienced the same problem and you were able to reverse the transfer.

It baffles me that this is the support you guys provide for a game with this player base.

I would like to escalate this ticket and request to discuss this matter with a supervisor. Meanwhile, I’ll post on the forums as well.

I hav the same problem and can’t even open a ticket about it.

They closed the ticket and this is the latest response:

My name is Rebecca, and I am a supervisor with Blizzard Customer Support. I see that another of our supervisors spoke to you earlier, but it appears that a couple of things were never communicated clearly, and I’d like to address that.

It looks like you had some additional questions about why your character, which you transferred from the Season of Mastery realm to a Classic Wrath realm, instead of to a Classic Era realm. I’m sure that this was frustrating to you and I’m sorry you ran into it.

While SOM transfers have been open since October, our ability to assist with them is extremely limited. While we were able to assist with this issue for many months, the servers are actually shutting down; we are no longer able to assist because in order to do so, we’d have to roll your character back to a realm which in essence no longer exists. Because it’s no longer possible to log in to refresh your character information after we do that, we can no longer assist.

The nature of Season of Mastery is that, as the name implies, it’s a limited time server. Because of this, there are limitations. There are additional limitations due to the nature of the transfers; SOM realm migrations - always intended to be one-way - are the ONLY way to get a character from a Classic Era-type environment to either a pure Classic Era environment or Classic Wrath.

I get that this isn’t what you wanted to hear, but I do hope in the future you have a better idea of how quickly you need to reach out if we are going to be able to make an exception to help with a mistake.

Now that we have addressed your concerns, we do consider this matter final.

Take care.

F.

I almost made the same mistake a couple weeks ago, why on earth they’re keeping 2 servers with the same name i dont know.

So in conclusion, don’t same mistake I made. Otherwise, you’ll lose all the time you sunk into leveling a character.

On a side note, they ended the reply with this:

Now that we have addressed your concerns, we do consider this matter final. Please review our CS contact policy regarding repeated contacts.

Pretty much telling me to F off and stop trying to contact them about it.

Blizzard support is a soulless joke. Has been for awhile, e.g. the bottling problem. That really sucks, guess you could tell them you consider your last subscription payment final too then.

that’s too bad but I guess it makes sense. the SoM servers are shutting down. sorry bro

I believe the original intent was for season characters to be seasonal. Allowing transfers temporarily was more of a courtesy. Fixing someone’s mistake of taking advantage of a courtesy is a… double courtesy?

Either way, free to join in the leveling & fresh 60 pot on era

Yeah, because blizzard is doing me a favor for a paid game. lol
