"Accessibility" vs "I don't want to learn"

They are all different bro.is disabled from a stroke with problem in motion and eyes. Timing is a factor, you can never tell when flair up happen ,example you’re set to dr half way in the air you get the floaters in the eyes ,which does just go away, they grow blocking your vision. You can take that to the mountain side and crash land, not a good feel for a game.

Nothing wrong with ground mounts but is the game accessible in all areas. That is the problem. I wrath we had that problem ,if it where to reach the raids you would have to fly there because there was no other way to get there.
Is that the case going forwarded, I dk.

It not but can not handle the fast movement

Everything was accessible in past expansions because they were designed to be explored from the ground first and then with flight later. That isn’t the case with this expansion. This expansion was designed to take advantage of Dragonriding and the environment is overly oppressive to make Dragonriding the only real option. I never bothered to unlock flying in past expansions and I never missed out on anything. In this expansion, if you aren’t flying around on a dragon, you can’t play.

Not so uldar raid wasn’t you had to fly there to get the fp on that island. No riding mount could get there from ground.

Well said!

And Nax. I wasn’t thinking about those when I wrote my response because those weren’t locked behind achievements. But you are right about them. I didn’t buy flight in BC and only bought it in wrath to get to the raids.

Nax,had a ground portal,so therewas no need,to fly there.

not trying to undermine you, but I’d be amazed if someone with a serious physical disability was able to play skyward sword. That games controls sucked.

but I agree, a lot of disability posts I see are people asking for game mechanics to be changed to suit them, not asking for accommodations to let them play the game.

There’s a difference between asking for the tools needed to accomplish something on your own, and demanding that the problem be removed completely, unfortunately most people ask for the latter.

It’s no different than the blocks people made for others in the game to better only them. Remove the blocks and let the race go.

Did it? I didn’t remember that.

You can barely see it ,it’s next to the grave yard.

So this is how I tell when someone is full of it on this topic.

If they say they get motion sickness explain what part does it and want Blizzard to fix that issue. That seems legit and I feel for them.

When they say, “I get sick, can we have normal flying back?” that is a red flag.

Oh its supremacist for not making a thread about simple mechanics. Great Lol. Its not the fact this guy is literally complaining about the most unobtrusive, easiest mechanics put in the game.

The big difference between WoW and those other games listed is that WoW has been more aggressively been reducing time between dopamine dispenses, because Blizzard’s interest is more in keeping you subscribed and boosting weekly/monthly active users than the game being interesting. This is has lead to any aspect of the game outside of high end competitive content having the depth of a puddle, because anything more involved gets in the way of short dopamine loops which gets people out in the streets with torches and pitchforks (as we’re seeing now).

Zelda and Guild Wars on the other hand are single purchase games. WAUs/MAUs are irrelevant to them… you either bought the game or you didn’t. The worst case scenario is that someone asks for a refund, which is far lower impact than people not staying subscribed. This means they don’t need to optimize for mL of dopamine per minute and can instead build out a proper game.

Honestly wish we had both mainly my bros.problem with flying I can piggy back him when he has his spells in game . I highly doubt following Dr in game will work well.

I wouldn’t discount them just because of that. It’s one solution to the problem at hand, and frankly a reasonable one for someone to come to the conclusion to. Here’s why I say that. Understand that some of the people who are finding themselves getting motion sickness from dragon riding may never had the problem before, and don’t realize what is causing it or that there may be other options to alleviate it. They may just think Dragon Riding is making me sick → flying is the center pillar of this expansion and is need → thus I need to have flying → therefore bring back OG flying that doesn’t make me sick.

I would say dig into what they are saying first and see if they try other solutions provide. If they resort to aggressive attacks or refuse to try any other solutions then that would be your red flag.

Tldr

“People have an opinion different to mine and it makes me angry”

To the folks having motion sickness, my wife uses anti-motion sickness glasses to get past it in many games. They are glasses, that look a little silly, but they have 4 circles, two in front, two more to the side, filled with a small amount of liquid.

A lot of motion sickness is your body and brain misinterpreting signals, the water helps give your brain some feedback that you are not moving or turning.

They aren’t expensive, and it isn’t a great solution for everyone, but I figured some of you may find relief like my wife does.
