dont bother bubbles…I already put you on ignore
You’re very welcome. I wish there was a sliding scale on flight speed so that people like us can modify speed, and enjoy the game like all the other paying customers.
I don’t understand the intent behind steady flight being locked at all with dragonflight being available. For people who enjoy dragonflight, steady flight isn’t likely to get used. So why?
I would guess the system was in place and they just couldn’t change it. Or considered it a low priority item. Either way, it makes no sense to me.
Why does everything have to be accessible to everyone in 2024? When did this entitlement begin?
wait till you try dawnbreaker.
i didnt care for that dungeon. I blame my npc team mates lol! However i was able to use regular flying in there thank goodness!!
Even outside of the accessibility perspective, it confuses me that the flying style that is significantly faster and by far more popular is given for free and the flying style that has much more niche applications needs to be unlocked.

You hit the nail on head - there is NO good reason to lock Steadyflight behind Pathfinder. That’s why there has been many thousands of players posting regarding Blizzards decision to lock Steadyflght behind the Pathfinder achievement and not Dragonriding. It’s simply not fair. This debate has been going on since beta for TWW opened.
Also, there has been complete silence from Blizzard on this debate, which is unprofessional (in my opinion) since their CUSTOMERS are openly debating this issue on their very own platform.
I am one of the customers who NEED to use only Steadyflight as Dragonriding makes me physically ill.
So, I’ve done the only thing I personally can do - I’ve voted with my wallet
(not that anyone cares, including Blizzard).
100%. Some people don’t enjoy or can’t use the sky riding system and should be given the opportunity to choose steady flight from the start. I don’t understand why it’s even pay walled behind an achievement anyway. Personally I will only ever sky ride and despise steady flight but that’s my opinion and both options should be given to chose that choose either one.
Every game isn’t for every person.
That’s a silly comment when you consider how many people play, and have played, WoW. It’s as if it were meant for every person. They certainly marketed it that way for a long time.
Also, it’s not just about accessibility. It’s also about player choice. The primary play style will always be us using our characters on the ground killing stuff. Don’t try to force people to like your mini-game, as cool and as great as it is. It just makes you (Blizz) look bad and quite frankly, petty.

Me either. One would think both would be locked behind a path finder. That would be fair and reasonable.
I know alot of comments are around getting good and all that, but its not the case for some of us. Sky riding can make people nauseous. For some sky riding invokes pain. Then for some its just too much going on at one time… Kinda like when your in a huge group and thousands of spells are going off and its over kill! Yeah for some it can be to much!
Anyhow i prefer my slow flight. I can actually see where i am going and enjoy the views. I dont run into walls because i was too busy watching bubbles lol! So i may miss that rare that spawned cus im stupidly slower than most but owell it will respawn!
Oh and last but not least… thank you to whomever made it so alot of these sky riding quests can be done with out sky riding, Yanno the one in the start zone, then the one where u are teaching the stormrooks and their riders etc etc…

THE SECOND YOU GOT SKYRIDING DAY ONE…SON…AND THEY HAD TO WAIT FORTHE ACCESSIBILITY VERSION
but you knew that, didnt you attentionseeker?
perma blocked for trolling
Dunno who this “we” is but speak for yourself and not for others.
Because I enjoyed every moment of dragonflying in TWW.
Just ignore them.
Ion loves his new shiny toy and he’s not gonna take away its shine for a few miserables on this forum.
PF was nearly DOA this time around too.
its a whole new world and the trolls had better get used to it.
Ion finally figured out his crew CAN make great content with flight in mind…theyre not likely to back peddle now and ruin a great thing
100%. Some people don’t enjoy or can’t use the sky riding system and should be given the opportunity to choose steady flight from the start.
Ion can have both if he insists on it.
Day one you choose which flight you want from the start.
Then you do pathfinder for the other version if you want it.
He can have his cake and eat it too…
As title says.
If Blizzard has acknowledged that some people cannot dragonride for accessibility reasons, then steady riding should not have to be “earned”. It should be automatically available as an alternative to dragonriding. It’s not even “better”–it’s just a different type of riding. It’s slower and more precise, and more importantly, not mechanically demanding.
I tried to include a link here as an example, but it wouldn’t let me link it. Here is a direct quote from the most recent one I saw
You have my support.
I have been summoned to another thread.
You have to wonder how that sort operates IRL with disabled folk.
It makes me think of those people who see people park in handicap spots and walk into the store, and they rush over to berate them for parking in a handicap spot. Not knowing that not all disabilities are visible.
And, I will say, I have been one of those ignorant people. I’ve never confronted someone about it, but I would think it to myself “Oh they can walk, they’re just taking advantage and are lazy” – and it’s entirely possible that some people are. But, after hearing lots of stories (particularly about those with chronic pain), it really opened my eyes to not only the difficulties that people face with their immediate condition, but the ignorance and dismissive nature of others.
I’m one of those people that believes in Blackstone’s Ratio:
“It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer”
But I apply it to a broader degree for things like disabilities, welfare, or anything where people can possibly take advantage. To me, it is more of a travesty if someone who is truly needy goes without than if ten take advantage when they don’t have that need.
The very best thing to happen to wow would be for Ion to find another job.

yeah.
Im imagining worse though…I can see some of these miserable jokers literally taking the handicap spot even though they arent disabled themselves.
Anyone who takes pleasure like they clearly do in in here in mocking handicap persons is in need of a mental professionals attention.

dude has had a long history of making bad decisions then doubling down on them till the sub dam breaks, for certain.
Youd almost think at times that he doesnt understand a single thing about how the masses of gamers actually think.

Very true.
I know many people that are legally blind that look perfectly normal from a distance.
I’m not sure what point you tried to make here, I don’t think you know what point you were trying to make here - you may as well have just did 10 poop emojis into your hand and smeared it on the screen for all the sense it made…
… but thank you for telling me you blocked me. Your feedback is very important to me.
