laughable desperation. lol.
Blizzard literally went out of their way to make the game designed FOR flight the last two expansions.
Yes, one CAN get around following the trails and roads, but its CLEARLY optimized for flight.
I would personally be satisfied if Blizzard would just ask a user to confidentally maintain a “I wish to opt out of dragonriding for accessibility reasons.” I’d award them access on the spot. Druids too, the game demands it.
But anyone else? Nope. However, in my method, they’d get it by just lying on the above.
We must not let Blizzard collect confidential health information. They don’t deserve confidential health information and cannot be trusted with confidential health information.
For most folks it is just a matter of practice. But because this is not a “competitive flying” game, I think that Blizzard should be accommodating to players who just aren’t into dynamic flying.
Idk, we should give it a try and see what happens?
I love flight sims any way so skyriding is just really natural feeling for me. The faster and crazier it is, the more I love it. lol.
Definitely a lot of fun for those who can handle it.
it would be hilarious to see a player standing there at the edge wondering how hes sposed to get down there for the one quest…then just jumping off and splatting at the bottom, lol
Glider would probably be the only choice without flight, Id think…until one gets some of the flight paths.
Because…it is? Everything that ‘requires’ flight as of skyriding’s introduction is either optional or has some other vehicle or mechanism that lets you skip it. I won’t argue that it’s not slower to navigate without player-controlled flight, but it’s definitely possible.
weird how every time people say this it isnt about “well, I’m sorry you dont like the genre for story or gameplay reasons” but because someone is pissed off that someone who is less able wont suck it up and stop reminding them that disabled people exist
From the moment flying was put into the game there have been ways for the devs to limit flying. And they used them. From the flying city guards of TBC to these annoying web spider thingies that dismount you that we have now. Oh, and how about the ‘no mount’ zones around NPCs? If your stated concerns were the devs concerns they have many ways to address that creatively. And they occasionally do so. I don’t think this argument has as much merit as you do.
This happened with Vanilla. It seems crazy now but if something you wanted to do involved a long-distance ride you can bet the group didn’t include a walker with a bunch of riders. It has always been with us.
But yah I totally agree with people losing their minds. Little bit of inconvenience? Let me get my keyboard warmed up for the forums.
Considering the constraints of mounting in combat and the context, I can’t really expect this to be one of the instances where a ‘skip’ is given since that’s essentially skipping a mechanic and everyone, skyrider or not, would be taking that option in that case. Why do a mechanic when it can be skipped? But steady flight’s enabled, so there’s that. As well as ride-along, which was brought up on Tindral back in DF as well.
Its adorable you think skyriding changes any of that and tells me you dont interact with the warcraft playerbase at all if you think skyriding magically makes players empathetic to other players
