Absolutely no idea what to play in tbc

I know pretty much everything about specs and where and why they are good/useful

I just don’t know what i personally want to do. (but totally only dps role)

Out of my current 60’s i can play warlock for big dps and sl/sl pvp. Or i can go shadow priest for simpler life of mana battery without bothering about pet and soul shards

Shaman is an interesting option, very needed, a lot of totems, can boost it as horde
Or ret paladin just to be melee blood elf with big weapon, but will have to level up
A moonkin as a wild card just to have flying early and without cast time, but i really not a fan of shapeshift playstyle

If blood elf could be warrior - i’d play it for sure, but that’s for another expansion

I know your feeling. I have played everything so far except a shadow priest so that is the sole reason I’m going to boost one and run as that. Hopefully it’s fun.

Was there a question, here? Or are you just thinking out loud?

Want to hear what other people want to play and why

Dont play a lock. There are too many people rerolling lock/hunter

There are probably also tons of priests that want to stop healing finally

Gotcha. I can’t see where you wrote that, but maybe I missed it.

I’ll be maining NE Restokin and NE Rogue. I prefer Horde but my friends all chose Alliance for TBC. Fortunately my Alliance rogue is good to go, my druid needs a little work in prepatch. Going to grind out the Grand Marshal gear.

I think Restokin is the most fun spec in the entire expansion. It levels extremely well. In 5man groups it can do extremely competitive DPS or it can effortlessly heal a decent tank. In PvP it’s the most effective hybrid in TBC, in my opinion. It heals better than an Elemental but nukes way harder than a Ret and offers all of the utility and mobility that TBC druid is known for. In 2vs2 arena it’s my favorite spec to play. I treat it like a double DPS. The 34/0/27 spec can do literally everything in the expansion except raid.

For raids I will have to commit to full Balance or full Resto, whatever we end up needing most. But the nice thing is that respecs remain 50g in TBC, and that’s nothing in this expansion. My go-to TBC gold farm is ~500g/hour. One good farm session and I’m good with raid respecs for a month.

I’m shocked the build isn’t more popular. It seems like the master spec.

Maybe. But spriests arent that popular because they are mostly utility.

Go either Elemental or Enh shaman.

You’re welcome.

I’m in a toss up right now between Warlock and Ele Shaman. I don’t really care about being the top DPS, but the Warlock rotation seems fun now that they can use DoTs. Either that or Shaman for the support aspect and bringing buffs.

I’d play Ret Paladin but I don’t really like seal twisting.

I’m leaning towards Shaman myself. Not sure about sticking with my Troll Shaman or rerolling Draenei.

i’m going a mage for a couple reasons

portals, food/water, good in wpvp (play on pvp server), fun spells, easy rotation that puts out good dps, wanted for dungeons

First question is, are you planning on jumping through the portal on a 60 you already leveled and what 60’s do you have if that’s the case?

If you plan to level a character, then a Blood Elf seems to make sense, at least you are not “behind” as others are leveling them. Lots of fun options with a BE, Shadow Priest, Paladin of course, Warlock could be great. Ask if you prefer ranged DPS or melee? Then what play style, do dot’s excite you or do you want the Big Bang a mage delivers?

Good luck with your choice. I’ve got a 60 Troll shaman, skinning/leatherworker, fisherman and cook (all at 300) I’ll probably main, but I’m also an alt a holic. I just like the story of the troll shaman living off the land and the fun the different zones of TBC will be for that.

I mained a lock in classic and tbc a paly so this time I wanna try a ele shaman for the squad utility and ranged that’s not a lock or mage.

Get new friends brother. Horde for life

I have way too many alt plans than any reasonable person should have x.x But for a while, I plan to focus on 2 characters:

The first is a Blood Elf Shadow Priest, my main. I’m re-creating an old TBC character that I keep trying to play as Shadow through the expansions but always somehow end up holy. This time I’m going shadow, for realz!

The second is a Feral (DPS/Tank) Druid, the primary alt. This one’s getting boosted and will be my herb/alchemist. I also had a druid alt back in BC and, guess what? He also ended up resto. Not this time! I’mma be a kitty cat, rawr!

I also have a 60 Resto shaman and 60 mage that I plan on getting to 70 someday. And I’d like a prot paladin to try it out, but that’ll be for later. The mage is a tailor though so I’ll level that up for a second set of CDs.

I’m leveling my druid first. For the flight. It’s not even my favorite of my 60s, but I don’t have a lot of gold, so that will be helpful to me.

i don’t think there’s that many reasons to play mage in tbc, a lot of people wont reroll, their utility isn’t that big, portals are mostly not needed etc.

I know the answer to which you seek. However, it will cost you $35
