Anything about this that wont let me play 4k reso on all highest settings for WoW? Is it major overkill or just top end? 95% of my gaming now is WoW but about to hit some more demanding things soon.
All depends on how much you’re paying for it.
In a vacuum, it will play everything without issue.

Oh, sorry forgot to post that. $2,900.
Who are you ordering this from?
I’d rather get this and just add some RAM if you need 32
http s://www.cobratype.com/product/cobratype-anaconda/?gclid=CjwKCAjwx8iIBhBwEiwA2quaq3k1QPEzh8CmfiU1_T_7dg1S6aBPGn4oSIADNMniD-wNiq_9emF4TxoCc0AQAvD_BwE
Would you mind explaining why? Im sure you are right, I just dont know much about this stuff.
5900x is a lot better than the 10900F, and this one is $400 cheaper for the same level GPU.
You can spend the difference on more RAM (~$100) and add your own 1TB SSD (~$120)
5900x is 12 cores and higher IPC and frequency, vs the 10900Fs 10 locked cores. Additionally, the AMD system supports PCIE4 whereas the Intel system is only PCIE3. The 10900F is last generation, the 5900x is current.
Ok, ty… will I notice a major difference upgrading to 32mb RAM in WoW?
Not really, unless you are also doing a bunch of stuff on the side.
There is a tiny benefit sometimes moving to 4 DIMMS vs 2, as it works like dual rank, but it’s not a game changer. I’d get 4x8gb though on any mid to high end system I build, personally.
Thank you for explaining these things… I just don’t know about the particulars and how important they really are to get the most for my bucks. Going to look at that other machine today.

I wouldn’t sweat the RAM at all. The Ryzen configuration has 3600mt/s RAM, which should play very nicely.
The CPU choice will matter most.
Ok, last question lol. I dont really get the “hard drive” or whatever its called today (yes, im old) I want. Is it SSD? I assume that is where the game is stored and you want super fast… since I will be playing much more resource heavy games soon, whats best way to go there? Like what “variables” do i look for in those stats?
Yes, you want to have your operating system and games on an SSD (solid state drive) which doesn’t have moving parts and is much faster than a hard drive.
The system you originally linked does come with a larger SSD, as it is 1tb with no secondary storage. The one I linked has a 500GB SSD (half the capacity of the one you linked). Both of the SSDs in these systems are small sticks that plug directly into the motherboard, so there is no cable management or other mounting requirements.
The system I linked comes with a 1TB hard drive as well, which is not really advisable for games storage, at least not your main multiplayer games, but is useful for less speed-important storage like pictures or older indie games.
SSDs are fairly inexpensive, and I would not factor in storage capacity in a buying decision unless the price is within $100 or so. You can easily add a 1TB fast SSD for around $100-120, or a 2TB ssd for $170-200.
Amazing info. I’m out of questions… thank you for sharing your experience.

Good luck - As far as the Main Gear PC I do not have any first hand knowledge or experience with their products.
I assume they’re decent though, as they are referenced often and recommended by others.
I’d look at YouTube for a review of their products to be sure.
Here’s one (didn’t watch)

Going to hit order this afternoon… anything I should reconsider?
Though it does say this, which concerns me a bit:
GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12 GB GDDR6X Graphics Card (Brand May Vary)
Brand may vary?
Unless you NEED a rig NOW? Id wait for either 12th gen or zen4. 12th gen should launch by Christmas
I don’t NEED of course… but I could wait for 10 years if my logic was “something will be out better soon, so wait”. I mean, isn’t that just how it goes? Or are you saying these new releases will be significantly better than what we have now and there wont be any supply/delay issues that will delay it until like Q2 2020?
Not in this case. The generational leap in speed is going to be quite significant and on top of that both intel/amd current cpus are dead platforms.
12th gen is shaping to be 40% faster than current intel and 20% faster than current AMD flagships
Honestly if you could wait for next gen you’ll be in much better shape. $2,900 for a gaming PC? IMO that’s a rip off for those specs.
Next gen CPUs are are a massive leap forward (3d cache for example) and next gen video cards are 2X faster for Nvidia and like 2.5X faster from AMD per rumors ./salt.
