Honestly if you could wait for next gen you’ll be in much better shape. $2,900 for a gaming PC? IMO that’s a rip off for those specs.

Next gen CPUs are are a massive leap forward (3d cache for example) and next gen video cards are 2X faster for Nvidia and like 2.5X faster from AMD per rumors ./salt.

And those GPUs will be 2x the price – actually, even more. GPU (or any PC component) prices aren’t going down this year. Heck, I doubt they’re going down to MSRP at all next year, and possibly never again.

OP is not doing a self rig aka buying a GPU and building the rig. The OP is obviously doing prebuilt. Graphics cards in prebuilts are pretty much MSRP. It would be best if the OP waits for next gen CPUs as myself and many others have suggested
