I’m assuming it’s because no one’s in Korthia collecting crystals anymore, but people are in ZM collecting Essentia. But it’s still mind boggling.
They really just need to reduce the base craft cost of the legendaries by like 90%. Leave the “bulk” of the cost int he upgrade materials. This would allow new crafters to get into the rank 7s without much trouble.
I got mine for free… i made like 500k from ZM chests collecting Essentia my 291 leggo was 130k so i dont know what your talking about
Welp i bought all 3 i needed on my shaman, approx 80k a piece, def cheaper then what they are going to be as the double leggo draws closer. Glad i bought them. With that said, wait a couple weeks after double leggo and the 291 will probably drop to 60k or so

Well unless you are a world first raider, the power difference between the legendary levels is really minor. Almost all the real power comes from the effect, not the handful of extra stats you will gain. Not saying you should raiding rocking a level 1 but you don’t need a level 7 either, at least not unless you are a “world first” player.
Yea and the players that are actually the ones setting prices are all in on Blizzard’s scheme and everyone gets a cut…
You are correct. The big cost to 291 leggos is the Pog Essence and it only needs two. The 291s also use waaaaay less raw materials than a 262.
With flying enabled, the price of 291 will drop even further since Pog Essences are gonna flood the market.
If your paying attention to weekly schedules …. next week Tuesday is Double leggo time. So prices are going to spike Tuesday next week with demands on Pog Essences.
I would buy cheap Pog Essences later in the week so you can flip them on the AH Tuesday next week.
If you are a crafter, 291 belt leggos are also going to spike Tuesday.
It will since flying is enabled allowing for Pog Essences to be farmed efficiently from chests and gathering.
Get your Blessing of the Genesii buff from Giros before opening any chests or going herbing. Also get the Buff before opening the patterns with in patterns weekly reward to buff Pog essence chances from that.

yeah i really don’t understand why people think markets only work in one direction. they want professions to be lucrative, but only for themselves.
You ain’t wrong. Only AH goblins who could afford to get in the crafting game really benifited from it.
The average player has suffered or just quit because of this.
Doesn’t take anywhere near that long to get two progenitor essentia. The prices of them are already cratering after one day of flying being implemented. Within a little over a single day they have dropped from 40k to 24k on my server.
Flying has made them trivial to farm, you just have to go do it.
No yeah, I’ve been making bank off of essentia farming lol, Happy and sad to see the prices drop. I’m in a lucky camp since my BiS legendary isn’t BiS until I have my 2-set so, I have a little time before I need both at 291
