Is it intended that we buy 3 tokens every time we need to upgrade all of our legendary items? I can’t keep doing this Blizzard - what if you increased the supply a little via random drop / world quest / mission table. I just came back to the game and there is no reasonable path to acquiring the legendary items I want to upgrade. I guess I could pick herbs and mine for 10 hours to be able to afford one 291 - no. Please make a path to unlocking these a little less of a burden.

you can sell Progenitor Essentia, sell them by 30k at the lowest and buy your legendary I got 4 while questing, trading, auction house and professions are part of the game too and people tend to forget that

Just give it some time. I can say that when flying is unlocked they should be going for 100-150k. Just go out and farm the new herbs/ore or just farm some Elethium ore in the maw and the new zone and that still sells for 45-100g a pop.
Nah, don’t buy and give in. They just wanna get people to buy tokens to increase $$ aka pay to win.

Go farm the mats yourself. The huge cost is in the Pog Essences. Then if you can go farm the other mats and find a crafter. Use trade chat to find crafters. Hell use the AH to inspect the 291 leggos since it lists the crafters on it. After you get the crafters name politely whisper them to craft it for you.
It’s a MMO, if you use the AH your gonna get gouged. Go talk to people and you can get it commissioned for you for a tip.

I bought a 210 neck on a horde alt for like 200g the other day. I think new players won’t have much trouble getting their legendaries.

I read the title. Maybe you should consider that 291 legedaries are a luxury item at this point, and aren’t necessary at all to be effective, if you can’t/won’t buy one.

Optional is not intentional. Nobody at Blizzard is twisting your arm and reefing out your credit card.
However, I will say this - the legendary crafting system sucks vacuum. It is without a doubt THE WORST version of crafting I have ever experienced in any game. Hell, ESO does crafting better.
At this point I dont know what they are thinking with but I dont believe its their heads. I absolutely refuse to engage with this broken, idiotic gear system.

I would agree that this is the worst crafting has ever been since there is such a cost prohibitive gate keeping to get into it. To train an armor slot to rank 4(needed to make 7/291) costs around 200k gold. And that is mostly in Vendor Mats in the form of Orboreal shards which cost 125g each.
The high barrier to crafting right now limits competition.
But to my point, it’s an MMO… Do not buy stuff off the AH, go find and talk to the crafter. Are you on My server??? If so I will hook you up on tailoring leggos just to prove a point about talking to people.

Speak for yourself. Bobby comes to my house and beats me with socks filled with bars of soap until I purchase at minimum 5 tokens.
