“Pay to win”.
*puts goblin mask on
Hey pal if you ain’t buying it move along. I have family of one to feed that’s myself
You ain’t paying for my time , i ain’t giving you my time .
This is probably what encouraged to make boosting communities to exist in game for services for gold.
However, I refuse to buy a WoW token so I just took it easy and enjoyed the parts of the game I missed, because most of my time spent was raiding and M+ in the past
I don’t get to raid, because I refused WoW token to afford legendary 291. I don’t do pay to win, that is when I drop the game entirely and move on to something else.
At the moment I’m enjoying what I have ignored or missed and if next expansion is on the WoW token pay to win bit, I just say goodbye to my remaining friends and move on.
No, it was because the players asked for professions to be important again. The average player stressing about not immediately being able to afford the latest maximum rank legendary on day one is just the weirdest thing.
Superficially yes. But Blizz controls the massive amount of mats required to levels up the leggo patterns and the abysmal drop rates of the rare mats like the progenitor essences. (Almost) no player is going to sink that amount of time, effort, and millions of gold and then just practically give them away.
Watch the AH and buy the legendary when the price dips. 291 Mail boots were 200k at the first of the week. Yesterday morning 95k. By the afternoon I picked mine up for 70k. This is on Proudmoore. I’ll keep an eye out when it’s time to craft my unity Lego as well. In the mean time I’ll just sell all my mats and make a ton more than it costs me to buy my legos. I did the same in Korthia and made a bunch with little effort.
Play the game and gold comes rolling in this is not a real issue.
Good for you. They’re still 400k on mine, and obscenely expensive on many others.
Intended? No. Are they going to do anything about it when it prints them free money? Also no.
people wanted meaningful profs…they were given meaningful profs lol
Blizzard is the one who sets the material requirements and drop rates.
Luckily they learned their lesson with the 40 korthite crystal requirement for the 9.1 legendaries, so the new base items only require 2 progenitor essnetia. The prices should hopefully drop after a few weeks. I was able to get a cloth helm for my mage for only 100k so they have already dropped a decent amount.
I sold my progenitor reagents and earned 150k+ gold. More than enough to get my 291 legendary…
There’s always the ability to buy the mats, find a maker, pay for the labor cost for making it as good will and you’re there.
People always think they are FORCED to buy things directly off AH but never realize, “I can find a profession off a player that can make it and be a lot cheaper.” Its how I done it when I needed my Rank 6 legendary but I was lazy and impatient, and had the gold for a 291 legendary for 9.2
then go farm them yourself.
Guess you didn’t read my post.
My point was that while players can post at whatever price they want to, it’s ultimately up to blizzard’s design choice to set the actual value of an item in terms of time spent farming.
I prefer cupcakes.
So glad I never bothered with any legendry’s this expansion. Only reason I bothered with the stupid ring in WOD was, because there wasn’t much else to do in that horrible expansion lol.
Will it? Are things set to change? The 262 items I was looking at months ago are still the same price. I was waiting for them to drop so I could get a Venthyr legendary but they’re not budging and they’re all being sold by the same person.
There’s a monopoly on selling them because it’s so costly and unprofitable for people to start making them now. I’m guessing that person is buy them and keeping the supply down (?).
Blizzard wants their token money and have no intention of changing the legendary system for that reason.
That’s real cheap for the 291 items.
I love how some players have gotten so delusional and mentally unstable that they
A) can’t even fathom of making gold in game anymore (quite easy btw)
B) convert all gold costs to money because they think the big bad blizz is out to get them to buy tokens.
Pathetic really but hey what can you do? Also 100k is not really alot of gold.
You’re right it’s “the man” keeping you down
You’re far from a mythic raider so it’s not like you need the 291 anyway
