Real talk though, that soap smells Fing amazing.
Yes please keep buying tokens.
…if I see the price go sub 150k I’m gonna snag a few more tokens…
Hey could just not buy a max ilvl legendary. It dosent add much of any player power at all really. You aren’t even going to actually be behind if you don’t get the max lvl.
Just wait a few weeks and the price will drop significantly just like they did for 262s if you really want one but don’t have the money.
It’s almost like a legendary requires some work to get and isn’t a common green
There absolutely no reason to buy a 291… none. No part of this expansion requires anything close.
This isnt about not wanting to work to get it, the work it takes to get it unlocked at this point is stupid if you haven’t kept up the entire time. After you run torghast 15 times you then have to drop atleast 100k gold. Don’t you want it to not cost you $15 to upgrade each legendary?
Its almost like you come to the forums to be a subpar troll
I think that the whole legendary system didn’t work well this xpac. The idea of letting players craft them sounded good to me 2 years ago, but in reality it’s just ridiculous tying player power to gold. I preferred random RNG of legion to this.
The other thing is it’s the first few weeks of a new raid - that’s always a crap time to try to buy anything as your battling limited supply of difficult to find mats/items with people and guilds who will spend anything - so the ask price is higher.
Look at the world 1st guilds server hopping and spending millions to get stocked and geared. That’s who these things are priced for right now - No-lifers with too much gold, too much time, and a feeling they need it right now.
3-4 weeks they will be under 100k. Supply demand. It’s a crap system, but it’s what we got,
This is not a good reason. If there is no reason to get it then why put it in the game? To sucker people into buying tokens? I think that isn’t a great design.
The higher your ilvl the easier it is to get into groups, you know? There is plenty of reason to want it. But the barrier to craft it and coupled with the cost already means over time the cost is likely to increase.
“I just came back and want to have the most powerful piece of gear in the game easily despite the fact that I can get the legendary power itself which is unaffected by ilvl on a much, much more affordable piece of gear! I like to pretend that the flask’s worth of stat points are just the end all be all for this game and without it, I can’t even set foot in anything every and no one will love me!”
Gold is the basic game currency. Just like any currency from Zereth Mortis. Drops from every zone. Every calling gives it. Why does every gold discussion have to meander towards tokens? Just because a short cut has been provided doesn’t mean you have to take it. If there is an inflated cost of buying a new legendary, there are also ways to make an inflated amount of gold in the new zone. Just like korthite crystals paid for the legendary last patch.
I used to believe that but I watched the value drop almost overnight (WoW tokens) to me seems like there was manipulation for the token. They were over 200k and then seemingly overnight dropped to 190k then 180k and now I’ve seen as low as 175k maybe lower now. Just seems kinda coincidental that the value of the toke drops requiring you to buy more just to afford two new peices of gear. They are just out for a money grab thats all.
“Meander?” pfft… Any decision the devs make about the game is instantly spun as a nefarious plot to sell tokens. That’s just the way the forums operate these days. It’s inevitable.
Or you can play the game and very easily farm the mats yourself.
“They” don’t adjust token prices this way. When there are more people buying tokens from the shop to get gold than there are people buying tokens at the ah with gold, the price drops to encourage the second category to maintain balance. Between patches when there is a content lull then the 2nd group of people (buying tokens from the AH to keep their sub going) outnumber the first (paying real money to get gold). So gold value of the token goes up to encourage the 1st group.
They’re going for 70k on my server because of ONE GUY.
He controls entire market for every slot of plate, leather, and mail.
thats…still a player thing lol?
blizzard doesnt control the token gold prices.
They’re dropping fast! You don’t need week 1 legendaries for the content you do, your 262 is just fine
There was no manipulation, the first couple people who made them shot for the moon! Then after more people started crafting them the law of supply and demand takes over. Give it a week and they’ll be under 100k on most servers
Man, the belt I would need for the upgrade is 445k on my server, and I’m just not going to do that. My GM even just straight up told me to not even worry about it. Putting legendary crafting into a player driven economy was a huge mistake.
you could just play the game… but if you’re an impatient brat with no self-regulating then yes, pay up!
