At this point in time, I suggest we start sharpening the pitchforks and actually start looking into legal action if they are unwilling to give us game time refunds for the 2-3 months this has been going on. I am no expert in the ACCC and our rights, but I am sure there is something in the proverbial rule book against customer quality and what we experienced. From certain perspectives one could argue, they are just scamming 15 dollars off us.

Just a heads up, the issue you're having is separate from the issue explained in this thread. Our latency stays solid, unchanging, even though it feels like we're playing on extremely high latency due to what we believe must be sharding errors. You might want to check for a thread that it tackling actual visual latency spikes to find a helpful solution. ^_^
Not really dude, the topic title says "Latency" and "ms" is part of it whether It's home or world or even both. It's related to the topic from what I said previously.
Entirely unrelated. Your problem is on your end.

what does that mean ?
It just means that those devices in the path do not reply to ICMP Time To Live Expired packets, ie the packet type used to generate a traceroute/MTR. Nothing to worry about, completely normal.
Googling "how does traceroute work" will give you a more detailed explanation if you're interested in the exactly how traceroute works :)
Checking in again. Still no news. I'll keep popping back in. Hope springs eternal
Just posting to keep this thread from being buried as im still getting this issue almost 3 months in to the expansion.
Massive lag in Drustva (seems to be in all BFA areas) right now.
Playing in Boralus on Majyk
Caelestrasz
Trying to fish, so slow that I'm not even sure sometimes I will actually collect the fish before the cast lags out

I just posted a thread about this, with a link to this thread and direct quotes from ACCC or Australian consumer law. I explained it formally, no swearing, no yelling and explained that within reasonable time we should be either getting free transfers or refunds.
The thread got removed, no explanation and it didn't break ToS.

.. explained that within reasonable time we should be either getting free transfers ...
... to where? Non oceanic servers hosted offshore where our ping goes back up several hundred?
That's the problem already, transfers wont help :(

US servers at 200 MS feel 10x as good as OCE servers at "50ms" for me. I feel as if i play at around 450+ ms through peak times of the day on OCE servers.
More the entirety of what i wish to point out is that we are paying for a damaged product that isn't performing as advertised (50ms) and we don't receive any form of compensation, which for similar issues, such as the June server issues in BF2, you can get full refunds under ACCC.
where did blizzard advertise that you'd get 50ms? link? and i think most people here aren't actually getting high latency, if we're getting technical about it.
the bottom line is some sort of petition on here isn't allowed or going to do anything. nobody here is giving you a refund. there are two ways to get compensation from blizzard. first, they might give mass compensation. if they do, it is usually after an issue is resolved, so it wouldn't be now. second, you can contact billing, they may be willing to give you some free days. i don't think it's especially likely they will, but they'd be who to ask.
if billing won't give you a refund that you think your legal channels entitle you to, then go through your legal channels and try to get one.

A multi billion company cannot be this bad.
It should really be illegal to take money from customers and provide this level of service.
Blizzard you should be ashamed of what you have become.
Remember that they were blaming players net for the first month....truth is they didnt believe us at all. Such a major fault and its going on 2 months. Just like hunter pet pathing.
I was messing around levelling a low level alt last night in Drustvar, playing solo with WARMODE OFF.
Skinning and mining some quests etc. the lag was " normal " IE: Horrible cast times 5-7 second delay on picking up leather or mining nodes.
I went to Stormwind and turned WARMODE ON, and the game was brilliant.
Just goes to show there are WAY too many people in the WARMODE OFF shards of CRZ and the servers cannot handle it.

Just stopping in to see if the issue has been fixed yet and surprise, surprise -- it hasn't.
At this point I've voted with my wallet and started playing other games when I have the time to do so. I'm not going to waste my time on a sub-optimal product that is clearly rushed, broken, and full of bugs.
Unreal. I don't live in Australia but I encourage those here who are still having the issues to report this fallacy to the ACCC and hold Blizzard accountable for this farce. I voted with my wallet because it's all that I could do, but if you all in Australia have another way to hold them accountable -- do it.

I experience at any time of day on Frostmourne. Love it how it still says I got 26 ms. I get more fluid gameplay on US realms with 220+ms... Completely demoralising to play. :(
Two day old thread, four pages long, about lag in Drustvar on US servers has two blue posts, and apparently theyâve had no problem recreating it.
K.
Iâm sure ours will be addressed soon.

I don't play on an Oceanic realm, but I live in the Oceanic area and play on a US server. World latency has been randomly high - between 300-3kms on and off for a while now (weeks, maybe over a month - I'm not sure when exactly this started). I'm used to unplayable latency after raid releases for a couple of weeks, but usually some change on Blizzard's end fixes it and I can going back to raiding with my US friends at 150-200ms (which is playable for me).
Is there any relief in sight for these latency issues? Only if I'm *lucky* do I get to play the game sub-300ms these days, which is basically world quests and then logging off. There's no pattern to these spikes and they happen all of the time.

High PING times is not related to this particular, lengthy, thread.
The latency issues are when pepole have low world and home ping times (in some cases single digit) but then there is an obvious lag when looting and using abilities.
I mean, I live in Australia so I think it's unlikely any latency issues I'm suffering from are unrelated to the issues many of the posters here are suffering.
