Tirisgarde is particularly bad tonight. The shells are turning all the way around.
So that's where I am
No Warmode
Right now
On a hill
Annoyed, solo annoyed in fact
Nice view
Everything happening three seconds later than it should
Wondering if you'll ever address the issue
Blizzard have worse tech support than Telstra and Foxtel combined.
Didn't run WinMTR today, but mentioning that lag in Drustvar, Caelstrasz spiking while looting fishing pools at server time: 23:06 onwards just now. (Multisecond delay)
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned but I was in Arathi on the first day it was open when lag at peak Oz playing time was atrocious, unplayable and someone joked about bringing 40 more ppl into the shard - they then actually did this for the world boss (as a troll, lol) and after that, the lag improved - which made me wonder if it was a sharding issue? Also I didn't verify, but they said in /who there were pages of people who were not visible in the zone - the zone did not appear to have many ppl in it (more evidence of a sharding issue?)
Just putting some observations out there.

Nathardrick and techs
This issue is slowly destroying server communities as people quit in disgust.
The Oceanic servers had seen a massive uptick once this expac started and it was refreshing to see so many faces..who are vanishing one by one as this problem moves into its second month with no end in sight.
I ask again.
Where are we?

Don't worry guys, we'll get another reply from blizzard in about 4 days which will give us no new information and it'll be like the last 10 blue posts in here
Update please.
This is getting to be a bit much now. 4 weeks guys. Does it really take that long to find the problem?
Or are you just waiting for enough of us to quit so the rest can play lag free.
C'mon we have Sydney servers. This should not be happening.

I've just stopped trying to do World Quests unless it's in the morning or late night. If I'm on in the evenings I stick to Mythic+ groups as there is no lag in there.
It's a shame that Blizzard lacks the resources to get this taken care of. Either they have inexperienced admins or they need to hire more people to add to their technical support team.
However I think the crux of the matter lies with the fact that they don't want to spend the money or put forth the effort to fix the problem when they know that once people drop off it will fix itself. Which as a businessman myself, this seems counter intuitive to running a business. While Blizzard (and by extension World of Warcraft) are giants in the gaming industry, and they might be able to get away with lackluster support such as this, there have been many other games in the industry that have failed to uphold standards expected by their customers and have lost support which lead to their eventual termination.
Now I'm not saying this one issue we're having will lead to the shuttering of World of Warcraft, but it's definitely creating customer dissatisfaction and it may not do a lot in the short term, but you can already see the effects (or could before they stopped releasing subscriber numbers) in the drop off of players throughout the years since Wrath of the Lich King. Situations such as these only exacerbate players leaving the game even further which is something they should want to avoid. They should want to retain players, not wait for them to leave to fix an issue with their servers.
All I'm saying is, if Blizzard is waiting for people to leave for the problem to fix itself, then they're losing income. Spending money to solve a problem with the network infrastructure isn't losing money, it's investing in better tech to fix a problem. Losing customers (and by extension customer confidence in your product) is a flat out loss in revenue and it's pretty dumb to do something like that.
Invest in better equipment, Blizzard, and fix this problem before you lose even further customer confidence.

Laurs: see my comment above. Ive seen chat comments about the server lag and "thats it Im out". People are quitting over this.
I get that they are working on it but the longer it goes, the more our servers will empty out....at four weeks in.
Four weeks.

Certainly feeling like we're considered second-class customers at the moment unfortunately. The fact it is taking so long just to isolate what the issue is, with little to no communication really is not helping in that regard.
Hey all,
Sorry there haven't been updates. We don't tend to pop in unless there's something to share, and at present I have no further information to give you. We appreciate the details that have been shared lately as we've got a lot of information. Now we're just waiting to see what comes of that data and further testing.
I mostly just wanted to bump the thread and let you know we haven't forgotten about you.

Not acceptable.

Drakuloth
Please take a look at one of my previous posts. This issue is now in the process of destroying our server communities. We are LOSING people every day because they have HAD IT with this lag.
I know you are doing what you can..just understand that I am beyond words as I watch my server and the people in it disintegrate.

I appreciate the fact you haven't forgotten this issue. But as many people have stated, we are paying customers and this current situation is genuinely unacceptable.
Is Blizzard HQ and/or Blizzard Activision aware of this issue? Are they able to provide resources to facilitate or assist with investigation?
I guess we could ask at the dev Q/A if this is a major priority or not.

Just a simple "sorry" after 4 weeks doesn't cover it anymore. I think we have right to demand real update with real information not with "thank you for providing us with information and we'll get back to you when we know whats happening" bull!@#$!
I can't say I'm 100% sure that you know what the issue is but I'm 90% sure that you do, but when you put it on the paper and calculate everything you have only one question to ask yourself and that is "Is it worth investing more in Oceanic servers and fix the issue" and your simple answer is "No" lets just wait expansion to die a bit and then we will tell our Paying Fans "We fixed it".
I know this is not something you can fix Drakuloth and I'm not telling it's your fault. You are probably just a messenger that has to deal with us.
Sounds like Oceanic servers are owed sub!
Drakuloth, you might not have anything new to say, but given the extent of the damage that this is doing to the oceanic community as a whole, don't you think that this thread should be escalated to involve those that CAN tell us what is going on? Saying thanks for all the information and that they are still testing things isn't really helping anymore. You can drop in once or twice a week and say that all you like but unless you actually give people reason to believe that this issue is actually being worked people will continue to lose faith that blizz actually cares.
Four and a half weeks in and still no public information. No ETA on a fix. No Dev input. This is doing nothing to quell the rumors, which as you might have read already are pretty damning of blizz. By all means don't tell us anything and watch the disillusioned masses go and find somewhere else to spend their money.
Even if there is no new information, if blizz don't take steps to either publicly acknowledge the issue or show that they are not just waiting until server load drops etc, then I'm pretty sure that you'll lose a considerable portion of oceanic subs, and probably for good.
At the very least we should be reimbursed or given the game time that we've lost by barely being able to play for the last month. At least this would actually show some sort of apology for the abysmal service we're currently paying for.

Throwing my 2 cents in here again and backing the comments that this is just well beyond acceptable at this point.
The two week marker was even a stretch, but over a month now with little more than "post your winmtr's it's your guys fault just unplug your modems" kind of crap from this company is just beyond belief.
If you're not going to fix the issue because you want to be lazy and/or save funds, just admit it so the rest of us who are literally logging on ONLY for our raids because they don't lag, can quit and stop paying you money you don't deserve.
Fix the issue and compensate us, or admit you're not going to and give us all refunds.

Bit OTT buddy. If they couldn't be bothered he wouldn't have come in and said anything. Stop being a baby and just wait it out like the rest of us. It will be fixed, they have never ignored our server issues in the past.
Not OTT at all. If you pay for something and it doesn't work for 4 and 1/2 weeks, swearing in a forum thread is no where close to OTT. Also can't be bothered? They spend 30 seconds every 5 days writing a post that makes them look like they're trying. That in NO WAY shows they bother or care lol.....

And watch it get ignored like BlizzardCS does on Twitter and this thread is for days at a time?

How the !@#$ can you muppets not know what the problem is after FOUR %^-*ING WEEKS! I'm 99% sure you know exactly what the problem is but couldn't be !@#$ed spending the money to fix it hoping it'll just sort itself out once enough people quit.
