Ok I think an anime about wow or at least one of the expansions would be great. It doesn’t even have to be about the main characters.

I would like an anthology similar to the Animatrix that featured stories set in Azeroth but done by different artists. The CGI cinematic team could do one, obviously, but they could also do something in the style of Peter Chung… something cute and chibi for the uWu crowd. And many more.
WoW has a big audience, an anthology like that would please everyone. A strictly anime production would turn a lot of people off.

As long as you don’t let “The Boy” team make one. That is one of the worst animations I have ever watched. When you want to show the intricacies and minute details of a digital world, where a kid is able to release himself of his own free will… let’s make it as wobbly as possible, and with no regard for the proportions of literally anything… terrible.
Now, Final Flight of the Osiris was top notch, as well as many of the others.
No thanks. I’d rather have the art style similar to what they have now in their illustrations instead of anime. It doesn’t fit.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. Not only did it not look that great (not to drag the artists) but it was also kind of boring to me.
I loved Final Flight of the Osiris, but my favorites were Beyond and Matriculated. Overall it was a good watch.
If Castlevania and Lord of the Rings can get animes, I don’t see why WoW can’t.

I’d love a full feature using WOW s iconic style. I’m a 3 D artist- and whenever I see an asset that has been ripped from WOW- it’s immediately apparent.
If Blizzard would stop trying to do the live action, and use the beloved style it already has- it could make a great animated series for Hulu or Netflix.
Speaking of Castlevania I really really really hope the people who did Castlevania get contracted to do a Berserk anime and really go to town on it. That scene with Striga in the latest season is just… chef kiss a flawless love letter towards Berserk.
I now have this image of Goblins VS Gnomes in the style of Road-runner and Coyote, with a cheeky Gnomish inventor doing various experiments with a Goblin constantly trying to ruin/destroy their work but Acme-ing it up.
And a Deathwing VS Thrall trolling match ala Yosemite Sam VS Bugs Bunny.

Well you’re wrong.
I feel like anime and animation get interchanged. I like anime but I don’t feel the tone would be right for wow. Would you consider castlevania an anime? I would consider it an animation and a tone like that would be perfect for wow.
I guess I’m arguing semantics.
WoW: The Great Exodus.
I’m not sure. On the one hand it could look pretty cool but one of the things that draws me to WoW is their art style. If there are a bunch of dwarves, or at least a main character that’s a dwarf, I’d be fairly happy. The only reason I watched Record of the Lodoss War is because one of the main characters was a dwarf.
