A Word on World of Warcraft

Could we please get permanent wrath classic servers please. Thanks.

DO NOT WANT. EVER
PLEASE put up the PTR and avoid more fiascos. Heck, we need more than a PTR. We need things to AVOID this farce of gilneas story going live. We need way more quality control at a concept level. Your internal teams obviously aren’t providing it. You need feedback at a point you can change actual things. I don’t trust you anymore. No PTR is the LAST thing I want.

Would love a retail PvP server
 just 1
 if possible.

I avoid wowhead now it spoils too much for me. I just go there to see how to play my class and that’s it. I prefer to be surprised so this is a great change for me.

People don’t want PTRs in general; they want you to TEST YOUR OWN GAME.

Ya know, looking at this map, it feels like really off center now compared to Mop’s. It feels like the islands are just moving in the matter of years. (not thousands/hundreds of years, like 10 or less)

Knowing for a fact these islands are separate instances really makes it feel all the around disconnected and such.

Idk, hopefuly a world overhaul that is all in one big zone (Well most, ovbiously Outlands, Agrus, and Draenor can’t be in one big zone).

Worgen got tails over in hearthstone
 One can dream

Maybe they can make it where I can choose any form I want again for my travel forms instead of it scaling to max flight skill. That would be awesome.

And bring back the tornadoe aoe move. Been gone for years now.

I liked the part where they mention prevention of spoilers and data mining. Not to rub anyone the wrong way but I am legit a little old school and sick of people wanting to know or needing to know whats out before its out.

Theres no surprise, or excitement. Just a “I cant wait to get to this part so I can do this”, like its a roller coaster you can see in the distance.

I prefer the fun house or even house of mirrors, to continue my train of metaphors. Not knowing all the turns, all what is coming is fun, its whats needed to keep anticipation and excitement for any franchise or activity.

Someone here is welcome to explain (politely, please) why they rather have things datamined or spoiled over seeing them live. I have theories and thoughts but would love an honest answer.

Thank you Blizzard for your new approuch to content, and im excited for whats next in WoWs future.

I swear the only thing I want to know right now about wow. Is I want a definitive answer on permanent wrath classic servers.

Currently, they have no plans. But that isn’t a definitive yes or no. I just want an answer alredy.

I am the same way though. I don’t like to spoil anything for myself. Heck, I know people who take a sneak peak at the wow gift during feast of winters veil month’s before it comes out. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

I also level traditionally. I don’t use level boosts or pay real money or gold for that either. I only look stuff up if I am truly stuck, and I have been stuck for a while. It’s no wonder everyone gets burned out so quickly.

But I absolutely do want blizzard to spoil me with permanent options for wrath classic. That would be the absolute best news.

I understand the scepticism by a few. I think more people would be excited for a secret patch if there was a track record of good quality and long-term engaging content in minor patches. When all the minor patches contain are poorly received, short 15min quest chains or world events that get boring after a week then that’s what players expect to receive.

Sounds an awful lot like they missed their deadlines because they have no clear vision on what they want to do. Nothing screams “empty-handed” like “I can’t show you yet.”

10.2.6 will be bringing random jump scares to the game, that’s the surprise.

That would be a cool thing. One big patch with an all encompassing story of all the races and the two factions coming together to understand that to truly be able to protect Azeroth and come together as her protectors, that every race needs to be represented in every organization.

The Earthen Ring and the Cenarian Circle have always been major groups in WoW and they spent the last half of Dragonflight setting up the Tyr’s Guard as the Paladin organization.

Could this be the big opening of the last three classes for all races?

Yupp. They’ve just recently served up another huge disappointment, even though they portrayed it as something big and awesome in 10.2.5. to build hype. People, including myself, fell for it. However, because it’s so fresh, one must wonder why so many are falling for the same trick a second time and eagerly awaiting 10.2.6 with full of Copium. Blizzard hasn’t earned players’ trust with anything, but I guess all that Copium is why WoW still has players at all.

If they are going to go with the “keep it a surprise at all costs” approach, then whatever it is, it better be good, otherwise their attempted “surprise” will only serve to amplify their failure.

I want to be optimistic about what might be coming. Maybe it will actually be good? I just can’t shake some concerns.

I don’t like the potential for addon issues, and possibly waiting days for addons to catch up instead of being ready to go on day 1.

I LIKE guides and sites that explain important new content. This has nothing to do with spoiling the story or min-maxing. Rather, it’s because there are way too many times when quests and other activities are introduced that are simply NOT intuitive.

While it’s nice to think of the ideal scenario where every quest is super fun, suspenseful, and full of surprises, it just doesn’t always work out that way. Instead you’ll spend 20 minutes looking around for a leaf to click on only to find out that the item you’re supposed to click on looks nothing like a leaf. Or you get a quest item in your bag that doesn’t work properly unless you use it in a certain specific way or at a certain exact location.

3rd party sites fill that gap when fun turns into frustration, so keeping everything “secret” is quite the gamble.

Agreed! All regional DF events are always buggy and phasing is so horrible. Players and friends should NOT be phased of in a party or raid with WM off ! Only event good was Rifts the rest is horrible designs and very little to no rewards in them !

A. Criticism is not inherently toxic
B. They are not giving you anything. YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER AND PAY FOR IT. Stop acting like they martyr themselves to provide content.

No, but their statement was IMO, and it’s not even actual criticism, it’s just being crappy. I’ve never been shy about calling out stuff blizz does wrong, but no need to just tee off on them announcing something they’re trying out that they admit is different and hope it comes out exciting for us.

Obviously we pay for it, but there’s a difference in just churning out the stuff and then actually being passionate about their work and trying to give us cool stuff (bonus for it actually being a surprise so we all get to see it fresh)

Weird they mentioned classic and retail players. Updating both at the same time? Or something outside the client maybe?
