A Vow for Stormpike’s Honor (premade AV)

Most respectable games wouldn’t allow for third party add-ons to be used in any competitive environment.

I actually agree with you on what you’re saying. But blizzard lacks those same standards that most games would have.

Just like how sync queuing makes the game worse, add-ons have the same effect. Lowering skill requirements and creating a higher gate for new players who may not be aware.

Blizzard hasn’t had a respectable game in years.

Add-ons are part of what makes World of Warcraft, WoW. Kind of like how playing skyrim feels awful until you mod it.

Add-ons actively fix problems blizzard has shown they dont care enough to fix. Most games wouldnt have addons because the devs dont let you come into a match without information, 90% of my addons are ui mods, or information fixes.

Hunters, fire mages, and boomies, being able to turn their brain off and top charts in any bg is what is lowering skill requirements, Not addons.

Wow doesnt get new players anymore, The only people that are left are old cows like me who cant let go of a game thats only fun to play when other people log on, and is miserable otherwise.

It doesn’t get any new players because they made such a massive gate to keep newbies out.

To get into rated pvp you need to
level up
learn your class/spec
learn the gearing process (embelishments, tier sets, tokens…etc)
learn what add-ons are needed
learn to make your own macros

Then to get into 3s/2s/rated bgs you need to screen other players to find someone who is around your skill level and has a similiar schedule.

I’d say add-ons are part of the reason why wow is dying. PVE encounters have increasing amount of complexity to the point where it is nearly impossible to do higher end raids/dungeons without the addition of add-ons.

Literally 1 google search covers 90% of this, and minus addons, this is true for every MMORPG.

To be honest, this feels like the hottest wow take possible.

How many MMO’s have you seen with a robust pvp community and a influence in esports?

Guild wars 2 sounds (atleast from what i recall) like exactly what you want.

Dont have to level for pvp, Dont have to gear for pvpv, Dont have addons, (IDK about macros)
Just learn the class and move on.

Lets not kill the ability to fix blizzards f ups in the only game that isnt DROP IN GET GUNS SHOOT STUFF. BAM LOOK ITS ZOMBIES. OH HEY HERES A FOOTBALL GAME WE RESKINNED 19 TIMES. etc that i have left.

Do you consider fixing their “f ups” as having a third party keep tabs on your opponet’s cds?

It’s strange to me how you are against sync-queuers because they utilized the system to their advantage, when you have pvpers doing the same thing except utilizing third party programs for their advantage.

everyone in the game tho uses addons even those yucky pve ppl

As i’ve already said, 90% of my addons are to fix ui issues and things that dampen my playing experience, for example i got one that forces my enemy nameplates to stay on even when toggled off, because my game just turns them off for no f n reason.

But yeah, i think its nice to have that, Having to either keep a pen and paper near me to track cds, or rough guess it, isnt fun. Playing Memory match with their cds isnt fun.

Its strange to me that you would compare addons to syncers at all. One is someone trying to either fix QoL issues, or get information that actively makes them play their character better.

and the other is funnelling 39 other people through a window so they can get into an unlosable match

Review the bold statement." Or get add-ons that make them play better", sync-queuing is the same thing, it lets the premades player better with a full cooperative team.

I’m getting tired of the sync queuing battle from hypocrites. If you don’t like people that have an unfair advantage, then stand by that for all aspects of wow not just on subjects that suit you. If your argument is they can just download the add-on themselves, then it can be countered with you can sync-queue yourself.

Not all, i refuse to use add-ons that give me advantage over my opponents.

Most I utilized are either dps recount to test new builds, bg timers to have a quick announcement in chat, and rp to make leveling more fun. These would fall under QOL, add-ons that fix blizzard’s laziness.

I’ve given my exact definition / reasoning on why sync que is cheating. Add-ons do not meet that description.

Despite my disagreeing with you, im happy you’ve stuck to your guns, and actively dont use a single addon in the game, because the majority of the playerbase lacks conviction when it comes to their beliefs.

That being said, im done entertaining this argument, Its silly and while someone else might gladly argue it with you, i will not.

The last 50 posts are the result of Blizzard neglecting PvP. We should be making posts asking politely for more PvP content and attention to said issues. I mean, Blizzard always listens to feedback.

Blizzard doesnt even read the bg forums. The moderators are only here for about an hour a day, and trust i’ve been suspended from here enough times to test it.

I could shout the most profane vile things you’ve ever heard on the main page, in a new thread, and not get punished until tommorow, even if everyone flags me

It’s true, last time they recieved feedback we got the famous response

“shut up pvp guy!”

Guys I don’t know what y’all are talking about. Blizzard cares which was why they force us to sign that social contract. They always read the forums and even care so much that they make it possible for people to mass report people they disagree with or simply don’t like. That system has definitely not ever been abused. They always pay attention and respond to feedback. That’s why they created the community council. They even had that stream announce it and everything. It’s only been two expansions since we last got a bg. Maybe three. Be patient.

I’ve given blizzard 20 years of my life

That’s not enough
