How will I even know it’s you
Yes, it was very surprising to see the pugs do the choke point properly.
They pushed through and made the map red.
Have never seen that before, would love to meet them on the battlefield when on my Alliance toons.
Maybe premades are teaching pugs stronger strategy. That would be nice. I prefer a challenge.
But you thought I’d try to deny that Beldiinlock is me, didn’t you?
its becuz i was healing them on my dragon and recapping our fortress
Yeah, it’s crazy what pugs can do when they’re not going against a premade raid.
With your Alliance premades? Nah…
Because pugs don’t already know these strats?
I didn’t say it was you in any way.
Pugs would have greater chances if they used the strategies that I watched in that game. It was almost like they were themselves a premade. They worked together, they didn’t just leave.
They really don’t. That is why it was so surprising.
Did I say that you did?
More likely some pugs just so happen to queue up with premades/partial premades and the strategies “rub off” on them (they see X strategy used by a premade first-hand, and then monkey-see monkey-do)
I think back in Shadowlands when Alecthegreat was more active for a while he was pushing an un-conventional “go BT” strategy for Wintergrasp D. Worked great with a premade/people actually following instructions - not so great when random pugs attempted it
I remember a number of pug games where a random pug or two would pipe up at the start and say “everyone go BT” (presumably due to monkey-see monkey-do effect)… but being uncoordinated/random pugs it almost always backfired as 17-25 went SR, 5-6 went mid to fight NPCs for quest credit, and another 10-13 went BT - huge split basically
Then we wiped at SR and what should’ve been an easy game on defense instead turns into a quick 4-5 minute loss
Pugs might see a certain strat successfully played out in a premade/partial-premade, but when they try it themselves there are varying results (usually flops/doesn’t work due to pugs tendency to scatter and “do their own thing”)
Backdoor boss rush for Ashran is another example. Usually works with a premade/partial-premade, usually fails with random pug players
Why would you think that I’d think you’d try to deny something?
So, long version of what I said?
Sure, but I was just pointing out that when they attempt to “copycat” the premade strats it usually fails/backfires (but not always)
Yeah, that’s because they usually aren’t there to PvP, they just want to collect their conquest and be out as fast as possible.
Let’s not pretend they would have stood a chance against a premade raid. BSG, FA, and SPM would have rolled through that choke like it wasn’t even there. Maybe a 10 second delay.
Surprise! They do!
Probably. But watching how they played that game, if pugs did that normally, there would be much less certainty to the games.
They did send too large a group north as offense, but they will learn in time, hopefully.
They really don’t. All day, pugs just roll off the hill next to Iceblood Graveyard. Expecting to go camp the hill in Stormpike.
This game was the first time that I’ve seen a non premade do the choke at all.
Standard cross-faction communication in bgs of course — emotes!
Nah, a premade raid would still roflstomp them. ~95% certainty.
It’s random bgs with random players.
You think random pugs will eventually learn to be fully coordinated and properly distributed like a 39-person BSG raid? That’s never going to happen.
Do you know how rare that is? Most of the time there is less than 20 people from the same community, the rest are pugs.
Not with that attitude it won’t.
BSG and like aren’t doing anything that pugs cannot do. That you continually ascribe some sort of supernatural ability to them is amazing.
The people in that AV played well. There were some issues, but their strategy was sound.
Should never happen.
Most of the time, there are less than 20 people from BSG?
Hopefully, pugs can learn to bring 8+ geared healers. And be on voice chat together. And focus and swap targets in a coordinated manner. And have bg roles assigned to specfic players.
Imagine how well they would have played if they were going against BSG. Pugs would have left the game. You’d say this is why you play with premade raids.
But the system, which Blizzard designed, does this on purpose. Take it up with them.
Yes. Very much so. Often it’s less.
They can do, there is nothing stopping geared players from queuing.
Lol. This isn’t arena or RBGs, no one is target calling. There is no need for coordination, players know who to target without being told.
Never seen assigned roles. Maybe try playing with BSG some time, you might find out that what you assume is going on, isn’t.
I would like to see it, which is why I said so earlier. It would be a nice challenge.
Yo, other premades. BSG says they usually have less than 20 people.
Agree to disagree.
Backcap team, special forces, etc.
Not if I can help it. Maybe I’ll randomly be that 1 pug with 39 BSG premaders.
It wouldn’t be a challenge.
Pugs don’t want to play against your premade raids.
They know already. It happens to them too. You would know if you tried it.
No, you agree to keep your delusions, because it helps you cope.
Nope, people decide to recall. No one is assigned as recallers before hand. There isn’t specific teams for anything, we discuss within the BG, like pugs can do.
If pugs played like the players in that AV, normally. It would be.
I always find it funny people unironically defending community syncers
