As someone who hates RDF and doesn’t want it back. The OBVIOUS compromise is to improve the in game LFG system…I mean it’s 20 freakin years old.
It is definitely not the silent majority.
No doubt, as only 1 point of view exist. Anything else is either bad faith, or ignorance.
I also don’t like olives, and obviously, because of that, anyone who does like olives is either trolling, lying or being absolutely ignorant on what good food is and should not emit an opinion about it.

You have no ACTUAL FACTUAL evidence that people left, aside from a chart that we all have showing that subs started dropping in Cataclysm. What you don’t have is the REASON. If truly RDF is the big reason as to why Retail WoW’s downfall, than why is retail still lived through all these years after it has been implement? if having a queue to the dungeon in any MMO is bad than why do I still hear sings and praises from the FFXIV community?

Lots of people in FF talk about how nobody talks in Duty Roulette (FFXIVs dungeon finder)
FFXIV succeeds because it has a great story. I’ve watched Asmongold and other major FF transfer, nobody is “singing heaps and praises” on their dungeon finder.

Long thread but @ the OP - but you’re citing your characters are located on mega servers, you have an active LFG channel, and grouping tool obviously based on the high population of both Faerlina and Benediction, so I think your perspective is skewed.
I am currently on Faerlina but came from Sulfuras for the entirety of classic and TBC up to SWP progression. During lulls in content the population of the server had a steep decline, along with the activity in LFG or people actually looking for dungeons or even heroics on the server. It literally would take 1-2 hours to get a heroic group, and you couldn’t even do dungeons for leveling for the most part.
I agree, RDF wouldn’t do alot for huge servers such as faerlina/Bene, but for servers that are not as large and eventually succumb to population issues RDF would be pretty helpful for people on those servers that wanted to do dungeons, etc. later in the expansion after the expansion launch has lost its luster.
The only thing worse than the rampage of plague zombies last week is the rampage of RDF forum zombies this week

They’ve sent out surverys gauging interest in RDF recently so it’s more on the table then ever before.
Well you’re just straight up wrong. RDF is good for the game and in no way responsible for the current state of retail. It had nothing to do with the current state. Bloat of content and abilities, parasitic game mechanics and class changes that made each class basically the same (a heal, a last stand, a cheat death, a bubble, etc.). THAT’S what ruined retail. Your misplaced anger towards QOL improvements is ruining Classic.

I’m pretty sure it would be more than you and the other 10 people that are coming to those threads to cry in fear of a game mechanic that would end your amazing “Walking Simulator” syndrome.

Yeah, because you totally will not interact with other people while running a dungeon using RDF. It instantly transforms your dungeon into a single player game.
Did you get your fingers trained to write so much BS by spamming LFG and crying when you don’t get invited because you are not a caster?
