it does the intent,if the factions were open it’s similar to cross realming ,beating the bush would kill it.
No…it doesn’t. They’re not related. At all.
Well,I’m sorry you don’t and i do know why you insist they are not related because now you think I’m trolling which is the last defense tactic .
I literally have absolutely zero faith in the community council after they posted a “The Mage Tower is fine” thread.
Literally what?
Im glad you think it’s not contraversial. But clearly it’s a contraversial post among the community.
You think an Opt in option for players to get faster queues and play with IRL friends is a bad thing?
Wut? I think I was pretty clear. I honestly have no idea what you’re trying to say here.
I want to play with my friends and I want to be able to play whatever race/class combo I choose without some artificial boundary that becomes more contrived each expansion.
And when I say play with my friends I’d like to be in the same Guild and do all forms of PVE content together.
So if that were the case,I’ll just transfer my horde toons to my guild but problem i can’t bring them into sw .Oh but i want to play with them, plus no more gold transfer vs AH !
Hello, I see you posted a thread about a council. So, I am pretty torn over this thread. Why should we be thanking a “community council” over a topic that has been brought up over and over since at least Mists? Did Blizzard not know about the issues with the factions until the creation of this so called “council?”
I feel like this is also going to be a recurring theme with this group as well: posting topics that have been discussed ad-nauseum for years in order to try and get through to developers that have ignored those topics the entire time. If anything, any changes made now is an admission that they have deliberately ignored years and years of feedback, so much so you could probably publish a book with all of it on various topics! For example: once again, PvP gearing is one of the biggest topics. This has been discussed over, and over, and over. If changes are made only with the creation of this council, what exactly is the point of giving ANY feedback within Alphas, Betas, and PTRS? This entire thing just doesn’t sit right with me.
Thanks for your post and have a great day!
Only difference between the GD discussions and community council, is the wording and the fact there is no trolling and interruptions. It the same discussions as always.
I think it’s a good thing that the Council, upon being told by Blizzard that they are being created specifically to cater to player requests, wasted no time in bringing up one of the biggest problems afflicting WoW. The Faction Divide.
That’s Why I said “Thanks” in the OP. Because Blizzard KNOWS it’s a problem, and now the council that blizzard went out of their way to create announced that it is STILL A PROBLEM and STILL needs to be fixed.
If guilds want to accept the alliance into their ranks, then that is their poor choice, but the rest of the Horde should also have the option to kill them and they should certainly not be allowed into our cities. So I agree with opt-in cross faction grouping and raiding as well as free trade (combined AH and mail).
It’s a really minor thing, but I just don’t like it when a relatively minor thing is described as a controversy. To me it should be used for something that really incites hatred, contempt, or a polarizing divide that can actually hurt/harm people. E.g. LGBT related issues are controversial in this game. Again, not trying to disrespect you, but the word usage just felt a little off when I’d say that faction imbalance is an easy and popular topic to talk about.
I don’t buy the “play with IRL friends” thing.
I had friends in real life when I started playing who were also playing, and we all shared what server we were on and what faction we would play. It’s a complete non-issue.
And no, I don’t think faster queues is worth the trade-off.
Ignoring the whole faction pvp thing for a moment, someone please remind me why we can’t mail stuff between our own characters on the same server on the same account when the AH has been cross faction for years now?
Thanks.
I’d be happy if we could just send money cross-faction within our own account.
If there will be cross-faction guilds then I see no need to restrict mail between factions regardless if its a guild mate or any other character.
People can already do this with Discord
