I did everything I needed and got both quests from wrathion as soon as realms were live yesterday, I wasn’t hoping to complete it this week cause it was still 3000 required and I could only get 2500ish.
After blizzard lowered the valor needed to 1600 I got into grinding random celestials for the valor (without getting any from stones since I already knew it didn’t count for the quest), and after reaching cap a couple moments ago I wondered why it wasn’t complete.
I went to check the achievement for the first time and saw that it was still sitting at 0 valor in the progress bar, even though I had the quest the entire time. I’m capped now and don’t know if this is a bug or if others encountered the same issue, but i’m not sure what I should do or even if next week with next 1600 cap I will be able to complete it.

same here, I was very careful to not get any valor before I accepted this quest and I am capped now and the quest is not showing complete
The achievement is bugged for a lot of my toons. I submitted a report for it but i dont expect it to get fixed anytime soon cause of the realms having issues
The same happened to me on this toon (Xylvia-Pagle). I checked and noted that I had 600 valor before running 2 random celestials. After completing them, I just happened to open currency to check how much valor I had gained. It still showed 600… I completed a few dailies and got 5 for each, it’s just not rewarding me for dg completion. My max valor is at 11600/16000, (I took a break for a couple weeks) so I know that’s not the issue.
I was having this issue earlier until I used the following script. Idk if it’s just a bug on release or if it’s always been like this but I was able to track the exact amount of valor after using script below.
Alliance: /run AddTrackedAchievement(8030)
Horde: /run AddTrackedAchievement(8031)
I have the same issue. Now I’m sitting at Valor cap and unable to gain progress on the achievement or on the quest.
do not do the daily celestial valor quest it does not count towards test of valor.
You got a VPN? Set it to Beijing. Make sure you got that social credit score up. Dont talk about the “china virus” or mention the independent nature of a certain “unnamed island”. Favorite color is red now too. Oh and I forgot… if you happen to have any faith…they may move you out to these umm… summer camps in the desert. So dont mention any of that.
Now you maybe wondering were this is all heading… but… you navagate through all that and bam… you are now the focus for a year.
